How did I miss this?😮 It's been a year! It's great to see the build complete. I was so excited to see what you would put in it because I loved your van so much. I hope you both are well and enjoying your bus! ❤
Love your videos, I get to expand my curiosity and learning from you. Keep them coming, please! I want to have you build my deck! So clean and professional! I'm serious...where are you 2 located? I'm in California 😊
That motorcycle has a face only a mother could love, no wonder it was discontinued lol. But seriously totally stealing your motorcycle deck idea and love seeing such a simple yet elegant build
Do not drill holes or weld on the frame FLANGES. That is why you see no holes in the section of the frame rails that are horizontal and many holes on the vertical piece of the frame rail.
I hope u left a cutout for ur fuel pump access if not ur gonna regret it when it goes out an no way to access it without dropping the cage if possible to get to drop tank to fix it
So many great things I could say but the idea that I will have to borrow is the full length rooftop deck with solar panels attached right to it. Hides all the wires an makes for a super clean look!
What a fantastic DIY build. I love all the thoughtful storage and the interior design/decorating, especially the countertops. That wood is stunning! The mountains on the sink and bed area are gorgeous. The hammocks are such a fantastic idea! Everyone should do that because it's a huge payoff for something that doesn't take up much space. I have added this video to my Best Van Build Playlist, and I am extremely selective about what goes in that playlist! ❤
I bought a 2002 bus from Rome County Georgia. The floor was very solid and the under floor undercoating was in excellent condition, so I never removed any part of the floor, even the rubber covering.
Well, that's not an Exacto knife, it a decal scraper. Isopropyl alcohol removes glue residue. It's clear you are just tryings stuff without knowing. I've watched a few of your other videos. Maybe you aren't in a good place to be giving advice. That weldless rear deck video is down right dangerous.
This is really not a good idea. Even if you use grade 8 nuts and bolts, the torque generated by the weight and over hang will shear the holes in the mild steel frame. Welding is the answer.
Well, you got almost everything wrong. If you seal every hole on the floor and leave no weep holes for those leaky bus window to drain , you will have a lot of rot. You think floor insulation doesn't have value. Without window replacement and foam insulation in the walls and ceiling, nothing will work. Omit this video and watch Chuck Cassady.
Wow! I’m sooo envious. What a fantastic job you’ve done! The fact that you had prior van life experience really shows. I’m curious what state you’re from and what kind of special licensing you need (or not) to drive the bus.
This is ***exactly*** how I want to do my skoolie's door! Thank you for such a clear explanation and showing the steps involved, including all the details in an efficient presentation. This is the best skoolie conversion how-to that I've seen anywhere!
When you give your web sites or contact information it would be great to put it on the screen so we can do a screenshot and save for future reference. Thanks for showing us your beautiful van build.
If we had solid wire, couldn't the ends be lightly sanded for better grip on the terminal screws? Not sure how 12 awg solid wire could get brittle - enough to just fall apart?? If solid wire could get brittle then it seems stranded wire (thinner) could get brittle as well.
FYI - Those are not cockroaches!!! They are most likely stonefly or salmpnfly adults. Those are primary feeding sources for the amazing trout in the Gunnison River. Ultimately, my ashes will be poured into the Gunnison. That is where my sun sets! Enjoyed your adventure! Great job capturing the arduous trek....both ways!!
Awesome video!! I wonder if you can enclose that deck to be like a shed or garage. Plus are you allowed to make the deck wider for bigger bikes Indians or Harley’s ?
Thank you for this video! About to start building the bed frame in my shuttle bus with little experience/skills but y’all gave me confidence I can get this done
I’m late to the game here but I have a tank that is under mounted onto a van as well but am finding no one who is willing to purge it. I know filling it up isn’t much of an issue with uhauls offering the service but any suggestions on places that will purge it?
