Do you need to put the magnet in the lamp with it? Or does it hold the magnetized effect when you move your nail away from the magnet before flash curing?
After watching your video on the gel method, I never went back to dip liquids. I find the gel method work SO much better for me and my lifestyle. And Chandler is my favorite character from Friends. Still listening to his audiobook too.
Hi! I am interested in adding chrome to my salon dip nails. I LOVE the look of chrome but I hate spending $20 extra dollars to add it to my mani when it looks so simple to do. If I were to add the chrome on top of my salon manicure, do I still need to add a gel top coat beforehand??

That mani is sooooo pretty! I absolutely love West Coast Dips, her dip products are top quality. She also has a really broad range of beautiful builder gel shades; I have a few but now I’m going back for the magnetics! Funny enough I just bought one of those horseshoe magnets yesterday.
Yes. “double dip dip powder” went out of business oh maybe a year and a half ago or more now (time is a construct), there are other brands with similar names still in existence. ☺️
Please forgive my ignorance... every time she brushed her nail that was the gel coat? So after every dip.. use the gel coat and cure... am i understanding correctly?
Lots of practice. ☺️ Truly years of practice improving control of applying my dip base in thin and even layers. I’ve been dipping for nearly 8 years now and am still far from perfect, but much improved.
I'm glad I saw this video, black sea glass was actually on my list of colors to get. Now I know to lay the nail into the product instead of dipping it.

So sad! And when Luke Perry died too. 💔 Sad to lose these stars we grew up watching. 😢 And now seeing people held accountable for Matthew’s death. People were so cruel to him.
@KatesNailKorner it's really disgusting that even doctors were just interested in exploiting him for his money instead of helping him with his battle with addiction. It never ceases to amaze how people don't refuse to do these crazy things and instead just give in and administer these dangerous drugs

I love all of your manis I don’t care if they are “plain Jane’s” I just love your videos. I have been re watching them lately. And I am a gel girl through and through and your trick about gel base then gel top coat works every time. I don’t even have to worry about it.
I much prefer to use a good Dip Top… no UV, no potential for Gel allergies. I love Double Dipp’d dip system; the top coat is super shiny so I don’t miss gel at all. I tried Revel sensitives and it didn’t work for me at all - it cracked and pocked while wearing and then ironically it was really hard to take off. If you’re a peel base user the removal part wouldn’t matter. I love to see “basic” manis too, it gives me color combo inspo, often introduces me to new brands and is very relaxing to watch. Don’t feel like you have to be a superhero innovator every time! Your content is great.
I love all your videos, but most DIYers are dipping simple designs for every day, but we like to watch the more difficult techniques so we can give something a bit more adventurous a go. I only use dip top coat due to a gel allergy.
I’ve been using the strictly dip top coat for about the last 2 years after due to a gel allergy i developed about a year into my dipping journey. I would love to see you mix it up a little with the dip and gel topcoats.

Aww! Thank you. I'm glad to be here. It's kind of interesting to see how a lot of creators in the dip space have faded away... it could be a mix of lots of reasons I guess. For me it's been different reasons from time to time. :-) I appreciate your comment. :-)
Wow that glow was soo bright! ... so I use painted desert nail tips but I turn them into press ons as im sure the liquids dont have the best ingredients, and I can keep my hands out of the light. Ritzy dips dip liquids are the best and has the shinest top coat. Typically, I do the gel method for glitter nails and dip liquids for solids. A lot of the time, i do gel top though.
To your question about topcoat, I am a die hard West Coast Dips gel base and topcoat user. I love dip topcoat but it does not stay shiny as long and I have noticed if I spend a lot of time in the sun it yellows. Gel base and topcoat over my mani is my go to method.
