I am new to 1911s. My 10mm Ronin 1911 has a 18.5 lb recoil spring from the factory. That is perfect for 40sw btw. I just ordered a 22 and 24lb recoil spring. I expect one of those to be better for 10mm.
You can’t go wrong with stingers, love mini mags . Today is 17 November 2022 stingers $9.00 mini $12 stack em both they Great rounds. Nice video thanks for sharing.
You added the bell to make seating the bullet easier at station 2, at what station was the bell taken out, I am assuming the seating die performs two operations, one is to seat the bullet to the correct depth and the second function is to remove the bell that was put in at station 2, by that I mean to remove it so the wall of the case is straight again.
you should have more subs. I watched 4 other ones couldn't see anything they were telling me to do. Whats that tool you have called. . red wrench zi nerd one. thanks for making this video.
Cannon safes are JUNK!!! Support is non existent!!! Don't waste your money. I've been jacked around for 2 months waiting on parts. I've called and emailed every week and they dodge me. You can call cannon for extras but don't expect any setvice. I had a malfunction becauss of a flaw in the design and they won't send me the update.
According to RIA the brass transfer is normal, if you like I can forward you the email. I am on my second Rock Ultra HC and it throws the brass about 15 feet. Why did you change the recoil spring and did you get the result you were trying to achieve?
rock island stock spring is a bit softer.. mine RIA when using underwood 200gr ammo, the slide feel like it slamming the rear, have put the #20 spring like he did but still not enough, maybe need to find a #22 or maybe #24 spring..
I personally use Federal 550 bulk 36g HP to plink with, and Mini Mags 36g HP for hunting. They both hit the same POA-POI. So, it works out great for me! I will tell you that the Mini Mags DO EXPAND from my TX-22(4.1" bbl), but the Federals DO NOT EXPAND.
I tested 6 types of ammo, from 50 yards, 10 shot groups, with my Marlin 881 bolt action, and a Weaver 2.5 x 7 scope. Here are my results..... CCI Standard-.81". Velocitor-.92". Federal Auto Match-1.00". Federal 550 bulk 36g-1.06". Mini Mag 36g-1.26". Stinger-1.46". I let the barrel cool, between each group shot. Then, used a digital caliper to measure group size. The Auto Match hit slightly low POA. The CCI Standard hit slightly lower than them. And, the Stingers hit slightly above POA. Muzzle velocity being the reason. I plan on throwing the Winchester M22 into the mix, next time. I was surprised that there really wasn't a huge difference between them all.
Thank you for the great video, as you mentioned, there are so few videos on how to correctly, and step by step show videos on the subject of reloading, something that is absolutely necessary for someone who owns firearms and actually practices with them.
