That's right. Go art yourself. Even if you do it badly. Even if you make a mess, the lines aren't straight, the wire kinks, the paints are all dried up. Art yourself once a day to prove imperfections do not diminish the accomplishment of creating art. Even when the result is a holy, hot mess.
There will be plenty of jewelry time lapse videos, lessons, techniques and tutorials, and new art, at which I'll sometimes win and sometimes not, but always create. And I'd like to share these experiments with you, ask you to be a part of the journey and create something as well, even if afterwards we can look at our crochet ski masks and think to ourselves in abject horror "Dear Lord, what have we done!"
Yet we create. Because it's okay to be bad at something and still call it art. I plan to be bad at many things.
Wow you make it look so easy. I'm going to try this now. I have been practicing my weaving types for the last week. I found this weave to be the easiest for me. Wish me luck. I read the above comment that it was her birthday well today is mine so hope I have great luck with it
Thanks so much Im in tears right now because I am using Sterling silver wire and have broken the wire two different times and destroyed the basewires. I have to get this ring done for a nurse here at a Assisted living facility I live at. Ive tried doing this with artistic wire i cant get the same look out of each weave. I have wasted so much wire. ugh😢🥴🙃😔😱🙄
This is beautiful thank you so much for sharing and explaining your process so easy to understand. ❤ your very creative and talented, I'm definitely going to try this tutorial.
Thank you for this tutorial, I am a learner and I love your intuitive, natural approach. It is very encouraging and makes me feel braver to approach this craft.
As far as cuticles I'm always amazed at people who work with wire whose hands aren't torn up. My fingers pretty much stay shredded. 💜 I was looking for ideas for a pair of earrings I'm making and this finally did it. A modified version of it, at least. 😊
OMG, this is beautiful! You had me at your channel description, then when looking thru your videos I was amazed at your beautiful art. I’m surprised to see they are so old & that you haven’t continued. (2023 now). Did you stop creating? Cheers from Australia ❤️🇦🇺
WOW, impressive! You're a great teacher and I love how you show your work up close. I can't believe I actually have a few blue laced Agate coin beads so I'm going to try this with two different colored wires and hope it looks as beautiful as yours! Thank you for your time and your inspiration🙏
I love this and am trying to prodceed with the materials list. Unfortunately, what you call a rivet in the size shown does not exist anywhere but I wa able to find copper "brads" for cold connections on Fire Mountain. Will they work?
Beautiful Nicole! I can not wait to make it. May I ask, please where do you get your supplies from? I have most of the tools. but I do not find the sanding blocks like yours. Thank you.
What do you have wrapped around your fingers? Can you tell me where you buy it? Great tips, thanks so much! This helps and hopefully I will do better at my shaping, since I am still learning 😉
