I remember for my 7th birthday picking out the Power Glove and convincing my mom to buy the case too. It was available at Toys R Us. To my disappointment the glove was super hard to use and wasn’t fun. Because of this video I had to go up to my moms house, went up to the attic and low and behold my power glove was there and luckily I was smart enough to shrink wrap it 10 years ago. The glove smells new cause it was only used a handful of times.
Love that, thanks for sharing! Glad you got to rediscover it! So the black case for it was a TRU thing? That’s my suspicion on it but not much info out there
The engraved number in the bottom sticker most likely means the year 91, and the week number 34. Meaning sometime during the third week of August 1991. Why the early models and later models didn't have them engraved is beyond me. The other nice thing about the 1chips is they are more reliable compared to the 3 chip or "2 chip" models as everyone calls them.
I've had one of these for 20 years. Bought it from another collector who had no idea where it came from. Based on the crappy materials and build quality I can't imagine it would be used by a rep. It has to a purchasable travel case.
what disk system do you have is it the twin or standalone system? sorta want to get into disk system but I heard its a pain to change the belt on the sharp twin famicom system
I own both a standalone FDS with the early 02 power board (no write protection daughter board of later 02) and a twin 505BK, it's possible to swap out the entire disk unit back and forth between a standalone FDS and the twins, both 500 R/B and 505 BK/RD. If my twin has the 3k drive chip with game write protect, I might swap in my standalone FDS unit since it should have the 7k drive chip where you could write the whole disk instead of only save data.
Do you have The Dominator Master Control arcade-styled joystick wireless controller? I've always wanted to see that in action playing all compatible games that the wireless joystick converts and works with all/any Nintendo compatible controllers or accessories, including the NES controller, NES Max, NES Advantage, Zapper, Power Pad, Arkanoid Vaus Paddle controller, joystick controllers, etc from other manufacturers/companies. It also works seamlessy with The Dominator ProBeam Infrared Remote Control System Gun.
Maybe I missed the part, but is Dream Point Bank a company that altered original controllers? So it's not a actual genuine dreamcast item, but more of a D-Brand like item? I also heard from a seller that there were only 200 made. Do you have some more info on this?
Nah, it was actually official. Sega in Japan had a mail away service that was the Sega Dream Point Bank. You could save up points and then buy exclusive items kinda like Nintendo does with their store and rewards. It’s an official controller just with a different paint scheme on it, they released several colors in this style along with matching VMUs. Some colors were more sought after then others so some probably are more rare too but I have no idea the actual numbers.
The melted plastic is from the chemical reaction with the cable, this can also happen on the styrofoam inserts when they react and melt because of the cable chemicals decomposing.
i love these soft pouches, i found a nuby one made for NES cartridges i picked up...figured so many of these were used heavily back then and then just thrown away
C1 19sv111 tv? Good stuff. Have 3 but only 1 works. U need parts let me know....that remote alone is valuable as hell. My remotes don't work well but some buttons function. Great peice of hist8
took me 1 seconds just by the wrapping to know its a fake . Thats not the nintendo wrapping , not the Nintendo lettering font , . Everything is off from the beginning . And having 2 controllers LOL ( they were sold individually) , wrong buttons color . Hope you didnt more than 20 $ for that garbage . I wouldnt have touch that with a 10 feet pole . Its like they didnt even try !!!
If you open the fake controller, you wouldn't see Nintendo, the year and Mitsumi printed on it, neither the black paint on the buttons. That's definitely guarantees the difference. Congratulations for the video!
i've watched like five videos on this case now. i think yours is the one that sold me 👍 thank you for trying to over pack it and see how far you could stretch it adding a bit too much pressure even. i really wondered if i could fit my switch, with a bumba blade case, and two pro controllers. the way your bag flexed when you held it and moved compartment areas around i'm pretty sure now that i can. also had no idea that it was a single compartment with two zippered sections. no one else really highlighted that 👀
Ooh that's an interesting idea, I don't have a Nuby light but I'll see if I can find one and try it out! Looks like it has it's own battery pack, does it have an alternate method for powering?
I believe there is a closer replacement remote than that. Try the Sharp G0549CESA instead. Slightly smaller. Buttons more square. No ribs on the back. No hidden internal button on the upper left. Same hidden internal button where the TV/Game button is supposed to be. Made in Taiwan. Snaps open instead of slides open. I have one but I don't have a Sharp 19SV111 to test it on. If the TV/Game function is mapped to the same key as an original G0684CESA then it is a much closer match. I also have the G0520CESA like you have, which is how I was able to compare the size. Other than the ribs it has more subtle styling differences that make the battery doors non-interchangeable.
I'll be moving soon as well, so packing the game-room will be horrifying, but you do what you gotta do, hey. Nice collection, buddy! Keep the videos coming!
