Wished they did a special release on the ink with TP5x. I would instantly buy a few dozens. The ink balls are to soft and spinny for my SS unfortunately.
This thing is a missile launcher. From just off the fairway, I hit this thing 260+ on a fly. Retired my 3-wood for good. I'm considering retiring my driver or going to a shorter shaft. Love this club.
Which of the line up would be best for an 85ish mph 7 iron swing speed? Spin rates usually around 5,000. Roughly 165-170 carry distance. And if anything, my driver puts a little too much spin on the ball.
Great video. Off topic Trottie, could you do a video on high lofted woods 7,9 and in particular DJ’s setup and why he uses them etc. I’m considering a 9w to replace my 5i. I have a hyb but the flight is too low off the turf
I absolutely love using Launch Monitors. They give you pin point accuracy when it comes to knowing your numbers. With that, spending $5,000 for a launch monitor does seem steep. It’s not as much as a Trackman or GCQuad but there are other monitors that are comparable such as the Flightscope Mevo+ that is within 2% accurate as Trackman for under $2,000. I would love to see Trottie compare affordable launch monitors and talk about how they help the average player.
5:01 I caught that edit trottie, before the hit you had 2 balls when you hit you only had one! I’ll. Take a sleeve of balls for paying close attention to you and your video 😂🤔
Picked up a hydroblast short slant mainly because I realized how much the TruePath alignment was aiding in my putting after going away from my copper Spyder X
Been Playing TP5X for the last 3 years, and Love'n it, the new version is Awesome at 64 still have enough club speed. Out driving younger players playing tour response...
Hey trottie not sure if you can help out or not but I’ve had in issue with my TaylorMade clubs breaking, I broke the stealth and they sent me a qi10 ls which the face broke after ten shots I got an new one and a week so so latter my p7mb 7 iron head went flying 30 yards forward as I hit a range ball people say it’s because of high swing speed but idk
@@trottiegolf I hit a lot of balls and my miss is a little in the heel. it was a year old but still I think it should have lasted longer also the range balls thing is probably true with the driver never thought of that
I always have 2 putters in rotation a mallet and blade for me it's the bend and feel. Ps the old school spider is by far the best putter I've ever rolled and you can customize how ever you want for under 300 bucks. Another thing I never expected but after a long time playing the ball really makes a difference in how a putter feels.
Funny enough I went and had a ball fitting the other day. Hit 60°, 7 iron and driver. Ended up with the Chrome Tour X (ik it’s not TM) but it gave me the best numbers. High spin, low launch and felt firm but not rock hard off the face. Tp5x on the other hand was a BOMBER of a ball just didn’t spin enough for me Great vid
At 48 and not having the club head speed I once had ....I have found the tour response strip to be the best for my game all around ...feels good off driver ....and soft enough off irons ....stops well on greens ...but the huge advantage to me is when you putt ....have that larger visual line to me is easier to line up and I have to data to prove I am making 40 precent more of my putts since I have been gaming it ....that's worth a few yards off the tee any day ...
Great content as usual. I performed the same type of test last month where I took a sleeve of each the pro v1, pro v1x, TP5, TP5x as well as others and went from Green to the Tee with each. Tried on days when the course played fast and also slow. Windy and no wind. I know play the TP5 when the course is playing fast and TP5x when the course is playing a little slow. Thanks Trottie.
Been playing the Tour Response for 3 seasons now. I don't have a ton of clubhead speed (never really did, and I'm 58). This ball just seems to work for me overall .. off the tee, around the greens.
TP5x is the best golf ball for me so far it spins well around the greens I goes far off the tee and I have great control with my irons I tried the TP5 it feels way to soft to me
I also have the p7mc, great feeling irons. One small problem though, the 6-5 irons are extremely heavy compared to compared to the rest of the set, which makes them unusable. TM would not guarantee the swing weight throughout the set.
What would you say to a higher handicaper that wants to come into get a fitting. I have been playing golf for about 20 years and have had a few different sets. Would you say it would be worth it to come in and get a fitting? I have corrected numorous issues with my game by just going to the range nd working on things I have watched. I use to have a bad slice with my driver and would either fat my irons or blade them I have been better in all those areas and know how my game is. Would this be the time to come in for a fitting and get clubs that work for me? Thanks for all the videos, would love to get fitted by you one day.
Yes because you've been playing for some time and you clearly have some questions on what's right for you based on options you've tried. Get a fitting for sure, I think it'll give you some guidance.
Great videos Trottie I play 770s and thought Id be in the UDI. Much preferred the feedback/response from the UDI, loved the stock flight as well, but struggled to launch it higher when I wanted to (maybe a shaft issue that I need to revisit). The DHY was much easier to launch (with the same shaft) and easy to flight down. The dhy also felt more versatile as a daily bagger for me based on where I play. I ended up with a 2dhy but both are beautiful clubs dont think you can go wrong either way.
Got fitted to a blended iron set of 770/790s went in fully thinking I would leave with Titleist t-150,100s,or 100. I have to say I now understand all the TaylorMade hype. They are as smooth as butter. T series was nice though just not for me.
@@trottiegolf it really winds me up how players will spend 💰💰💰💰 on a driver full fitting but just get a putter off the shelf. Just because it says Scotty on the bottom. Scottys are great putters but spend a bit of cash on finding out which putter is the 1 for u
@@trottiegolf not sure if it’s the weight or just the design. But it works for me and is easy to keep on line. I took my Newport 2 out of the bag just for the older model Scotty.
I would. No point going down the same path. Have you gone through this (it'll help): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JtXhZpnlmG0.htmlsi=kF1ZughCrhR168vE
A consistent beginner should get fitted? Already picked it up as a hobby with some sub par box store clubs. Have played 9 18s in the last month. Heavily enjoying it. Wonder if I just bite the bullet and go with it. Thoughts?
