LIVE FITTING brings an 11 handicap golfer to The TaylorMade Kingdom and some serious yardage gains are achieved.
After his warm up we tackle alignment fundamentals with the Tour Aim that lead to dramatic improvements in ball flight. Before Chris even hits a shot I notice telling signs in the set up of his Ping gamer driver that were in place as a bandaid to help based on misalignment.
I address the players ability to adjust during the warm up and ultimately this then opens up the potential for more ball speed and longer drives leading me into a completely different set up by comparison to what Chris arrived with that morning. The results are clear for all to see!
For any fitters out there watching this notice the time and attention spent getting the club where I want it before I allow the player to hit. In this fitting we are changing A LOT so you need to know everything about the club in order to take the fitting in the right direction once the player hits those crucial first shots with the new set up.
We initially look at the Qi10 Max before settling on the Qi10 Core model, used by Rory McIlroy. Chris finishes hitting consistent bombs over 300 yards, unreal gains for an 11 hcp player with perfect launch / spin conditions and a club delivery that will help him found the majority of Fairways.
