The new age melee players are trash when it comes to smash because the controllers and game are modded and play the game for you so you're not even doing anything. Not even good decision making. Old school melee players can do much better at this than today's pros.
I've been saying for years that Peach's hardest matchup is Marth. Fox can runs circles around Peach and punish her hard but you have alot more options to outplay him. Puff is really only bad if you run into up tilt rest early on and get camped. Against a Marth like Zain you just can't do anything. Approaching is impossible. Turnips are your only hope, but if the Marth can powershield it's over.
What can you do against marth is the better question I’ve never been able to beat a marth on ranked despite beating every other character I’ve come across, every single one of marths moves makes me want to quit the game no matter what character I’m playing him as
I want everyone to know that before this set started I told Vish I was the biggest Cocaine Combos fan in the world & we shared great joy over Adam Noobking Brown’s legacy & then played very fun melee This set was hilarious, I’ve got plenty of johns but was mostly just cold & didn’t have my adderall. I mean, there are levels for sure, and Zain is absolutely, ridiculously good at this game But I'll have to watch the set because Aura looked too scared to do anything but shield in these clips and it was allowing Zain to do stuff that doesn't work. Unless you're really intimidated 😅 Edit - just watched the set. Zain was living rent free in Aura's head. Game 1 was pretty competitive even though Zain was clearly in control (fsmashing Shieks Nair is crazy) I don't know if I've ever seen a high level player miss as many techs as Aura did in game 2, and Zain just smothered him. So yeah, levels
