what is your usual average gross and what are your typical EGT's? saw the probe, and assume you have a gauge. I put one in my down pipe as well and my EGT's seem fairly cooler than what i was expecting...
@@peterbiltlogger1189 thanks for the reply. We are usually 95,000-105,000 typically with grain and 700 is about as hot as I’ve seen.. vgt and all is gone like yours. Was mainly just curious. Most of the people I know of down here don’t have egt gauges..
2 years later, any issues with the motor? Been reliable? Best rpms you find running these? I've got a 100 anniversary edition 565/2050 I'm new to, been running Detroit for a decade
Hell yeah sounds wicked! How the heck do you get it to pass DOT inspections? I’m planning on picking up an old pre aero ford ltl9000 and want to put an x15 in it. Thinking I can circumvent all that emissions BS because it’s a truck from mid 80’s to early 90’s
Now in the past have driven many of these ,not with a Ecm delete ,But I would Jump them with extra power to confused the ecm like a wire on low power side of panel lights, & this is the type of Running truck all Real Truck Drivers should have,
I don’t get why you’d delete the VGT turbo. It helps the turbo spool faster, reduces boost lag, & more efficient. If ur trying to make it simpler then ok, but still kinda pointless. It’s a 200k truck why not just keep the VGT.
@@Josh-fi9sc Only on a steep straight hill or if trying to get unstuck. When everything is locked a tri-drive pretty much just goes in a straight line.
Has the novelty of the sound wore off yet? 😂. I must be getting to old to listen to that all day. Trouble with deleting the VGT is the jake is all noise . You don’t hardly feel the brake till the VGT closes up and starts feeding boost. Sure does sound sweet though!
Just curious, why delete the VGT? Is that something that has to be done to straight pipe an x15? Or was it personal preference? And if so why? Like what benefits does it have? Also great sounding truck and great driving!
