Brilliant, you know a great song when it can be covered into any genre. From Kate Bushs original (pop, Placebo (alt rock), Biffy Clyro (rock) and now this masterpiece (classical with a choir)! Love it ❤️👏🏻🫡
Amazing performance.. my only thought was that in the bridge, they should have started to fade in the sopranos above the chorus and then in the final chorus (they came in at that part, but only muted), really let the drums come in mid force and the sopranos above everything with a little, I don’t know “soul”/force to drive the chorus home.. then fade like they did towards the end.. sorry, just my thoughts and pseudo hope.. :)
Everything is prophetic: it's like our whole lives we're double minded our hearts, minds and multitude within us are all in different places, But when we give our whole selves to God, it's like a choir singing synchronized. Glory be to God, he wants us to be whole(Holy), and we can when we're truly ready to die to ourselves and live for Christ🔥 That song is very powerful.
Well nice. I do appreciate. I guess no it's time for evaluate these kids .What they became? Drug addics, wellfare or "real boy". I hope the the able-one - decent people.
There is more to the original than just the voice. It starts with the bush drum that drives the song. It's there for a reason: the woman in the song expresses a primeval desire to be completely one with her lover. It is the eternal frustration of man that we always remain separate, no matter how close we can get to each other. If you want to be extra cheesy religious about it: the woman wants to return to the ribcage it came from just like males want to return to the wombs we came from. Kate Bush leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination here. The song is as raw as one can probably make a piece of music. It's brutal. Introduce refinement and you end up breaking the piece. If anything, this has to be screamed. A timid girl's choir and a cotton ball handed orchestra just can't do it.
They are all over the place. The original was recorded with a Linn drum machine. I have been listening to late 20th century music for a while now and I find that there are many pieces for which the machines are better. This is one of them. Even Steely Dan who used to go through scores of the best studio musicians they could find decided to replaced their drummers with machines, eventually. If monotonicity and "drive" are required, then a machine gets the job done far better than people. That's not always true, but here it is.
