For a Scene at the Teather They asked London theater to borrow them for shooting but they didnt agrree even by good money ! So they(Penny Dreadful Crew) made a real new London theater themselves! Better than the Original! this TV Show Started with enormous Budget and they really made it right! So Magical and Rare kind of tv show
Essa montagem ficou perfeita, parabéns. Essa música é uma das melhores do mundo, na voz da melhor cantora de todos os tempos. Esse vídeo merecia pelo menos 1 milhão de visualizações. Ficou incrível.👏👏👏
Actually, the melody comes from a song composed by Simon and Garfunkel, which at the same time is their interpretation of a very old English folk song/ballad. It wouldn't surprise me if Mago de Oz's song was inspired by S&G's version.
We are our darkest desires, we are our hate for ourselves, we are our shame, we are our pain. We are the torture. There is no hope for us, but only light somewhere, deep in our hearts. Being a monster is easy. Let’s try and be humans
APLAUDO ESTA OBRA DE ARTE. MUSICA INCOMPARABLE, ACTUACIONES ESPECTACULARES, HOSTORIA ENVOLVENTE QUE TE DEJA CON GANAS DE MÁS A LA VEZ QUE TIENE EL FINAL PERFECTO. LAS MEJORES OBRAS DE ARTE SON ETERNAS EN EL CORAZÓN AUNQUE SEAN EFÍMERAS EN LA REALIDAD. GRACIAS POR LA MÚSICA LA ESTABA NECESITANDO
Sometimes, I long for the past To come back to me. Even though in our nascence We get funny ideas about things. How they should be; How they are. But for me, the past Was chaptered in shades of feeling, Not unlike old music that plays hoarily On a scratched record that went Out of fashion two decades ago. The magic of that time, Not that I am any older now, Is that there was real choice. Even if I felt like the freedom Was slipping through my hands As I aged, and ached, and argued With my conscience and my conscious. It comes back in flickers; Like warped projections of A tired face cast back upon itself By myriad separate shards. And glass is not the only broken thing Which comes to mind. The heart, as with all beautiful things, Is frail, and blooms only for a moment Before it gives back to that Luciferian void-light the beauty Which imbued it thus. Lingering on death - mulling; Each thought a transgression Against the self, the brain A poison against the body. If not for all that aching - The envy and love and hate - Those memories might be more Forgiving. Sometimes, I long for the past To come back to me, For the clocks to stop and smash where They strike, so that they might not Rush ahead as they have, each Second a transgression against The body, each thought, a poison Against the brain, the freedom Slipping through my fingers like Sand through a sieve, The refracted reflections of a hateful face Staring back from the shattered Clock-frame, the scratched record Jarring around, stuck in endless chains, And out of the rusted aperture, A hate-rapt voice begging: "Let me die. Let me die. Let me die." Not in any way related to penny dreadful, but there we are.
@@baileyrob it gives us a false of reality, of how things should be or hope to be. If one is not careful, that person will fail to establish his/herself in either the real world or imaginary and may lead to depression.
This show was utterly beautiful in many ways, but the way that was most prominent to me was the fact that it captured the raw essence of humanity. Every single character did this, but none more so than Ms. Ives. She was a woman of faith who held strong to God's promises, but then became fed up, tired of waiting and being the victim. So she collapses upon herself and her desires, which was symbolized by dracula's kiss. She enjoyed the power; enjoyed being the one in control. Until the very end, when she is confronted by Mr. Chandler; one of the two characters whom, while may have been a beast, was far from, and just may have been closer to humanity than us all. Beautifully crafted show.
As I watched the last episode, I felt a great loss. I feel that this show captures the raw essence of our darkest thoughts and desires. This show was my friend and now it's gone... Miss Ives was the last link to who I was. I must find out who I am yet going to be.
One of the best show ever. Its masterfully created. The dialogues are so rich, the music is incomparable, the story so gripping and heart breaking..its ending marked me more than Game of thrones.
thank you scorpion flower.. beautifull piece of music... very sad, the last song..the end of Penny.. i watched the last chapter with tears in my eyes.. Penny dreadfull one of the best series.. very good characters .. why this show has to end ??
Because nothing ruins a good series more than being dragged on and on without any new ideas or a good story. Penny Dreadful was awesome, and it had an ending that was tragically awesome.
When I was young Composition by Tom Kitt , sung by Sophie Meade. Lyrics: When I was young And scared of the world My mother Would sing me a song A tune that I keep In a sacred place Because I know That my life won't be long It tells of the place Where you go When your time here on Earth is through A beautiful place We call heaven Is it true Please God I pray that it's true Cause once this land was Heaven on Earth Green hills were all you could see But now it's soot and steel and brick So it looks more like hell to me And each day brings more and more suffering And each night is silence and fear And I wake to the sound of your voice But you're not here Why aren't you here? So now I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord my soul to keep Please let me die before I wake So the Lord my soul can take Then maybe I'll finally find you 'Midst the beauty of paradise And you'll sing not of dying but living Wouldn't that be nice? Wouldn't that be nice?
