Hi! Absolutley. FOMO was one...then trying to keep up w/ the Joneses and dp faster, have a big stash, buying containers. I'm not too big on the trays and pens...I have a few but not out of control....but yes, now I DP for tge "relaxation" and decompressing of it all. Thx 4 the video
Hi Debbie this is my first time watching you and I love what you are talking about I just started diamond painting in March and I love it but I'm was trying to stay on a budget but I love diamond painting and I got 6 pens and 6 trays and I said you can use one at time so I stop buying them 😊you have a blessed day and keep up with the great work
I have limited space bc I live with my father as his care giver, plus I'm on retired teacher's budget, so I've gotten much better at controlling my dp spending. I never got hooked on DAC, but I have bought a few which I now regret bc of their size. I love beautiful pens but the size that's comfortable for me matters so I only buy ones that I will use. I'm willing to spend on trays--still looking for the perfect one but I now know which ones to rule out. I got hooked on cover minders & started spending way too much on collecting them before I finally cut myself off from buying more. The struggle is real from collecting more, but so far I've managed. Being older, I realize that balance is key. If I had a huge stash, I would feel guilty & stressed about being wasteful on spending so much money on a craft. That would definitely take away the fun & enjoyment.
Hi Debbie. I don't have a stash yet. I think it's b/c I tend to buy large and confetti heavy diamond paintings. I like to take my time and enjoy every minute. Thanks for sharing and being so candid.

ok so if I regret anything it's prob similar to what you mentioned... buying too many up front before I knew what I now know...about renderings/sizes/quality/glue types, etc...and what I really liked myself. TY for sharing Debbie...your openness & transparency is refreshing! I only have 2 wips and 3 in my stash. I'm so glad that I didn't buy so many 3 years ago when I started because the quality of Diamond Art Clubs kits have gotten so much better. All 3 in my stash are LARGE confetti heavy landscapes that I'm not excited to do lol

Thanks, Debbie. I, too, as did most of us, I suppose, did get caught up in FOMO. Fortunately, I don't have too many of the "things". I just have one tray. I was lucky and really like the first one I bought. I just ordered my first custom pen. Kits, on the other hand, well. I have about twice as many as I would like to have. I love most of them, but there are a few I would like to destash. I am hoping I can attend a retreat some day and I can bring them with me and see if anyone is interested. I guess the one regret I have that you did not mention is that I started saving my left over drills. It would have much easier and taken up no room at all if I had just thrown them out, or continue doing what I originally started with, which was putting all the left over diamonds from each kit in a separate quart sized baggie.
Hi Alicat! I do save my leftovers in case I run out, but I only save a bag of each. I do separate my Ever moment drills for future cross stitch conversions. You are right that they do take up a lot of space. Thanks so much for watching!
Same for me , I have a huge stash. Well over 100 in DAC alone. Not to mention other companies. And I have to tell myself just because I like it doesn’t mean I need to have it.
Small quakes don't bother me. But, this one was a strong one. Small and mighty. We, California, has two different types of faults. Strike slip faults and thrust faults. Strike faults move land. Thrust faults raise land. A 7.0 on a slip fault would fell like an 8.0 on a Thrust fault. One person here in Downey discovered a mine on his property. That was nice, until the state, said the mind was theirs. Stupid. Thank you for keeping Herschel and I in your prayers. 😊😊
Every few years, we have minor tremors. The hubs didn’t even wake up. I, on the other hand, sat straight up in bed and thought the world was ending! You’re brave to experience so many quakes!
Hi Debbie, I have many of the same issues. I have more DP’s and trays than I need so I’m on a low buy now. I still have FOMO, but there have not been many new releases in DP’s that I feel I must have. Maybe it’s because I have a good stash now so I can be more selective. I also have paintings that I feel I will not likely work on because my taste has changed. ❤
Hi Debbie- I have some of the same regrets you do. I have to destash several due to my tastes changing. I love my second job. I decided that I was going to use it as fun money. I see a diamond painting and think, I need that because it’s so cute or it’s patriotic. The next week comes and I see something even cuter or prettier.
I started buying in 2020. I have my quality collection cut in half, now. I still need to clear out my low quality kits completely. I don't want them at all. So, now I have about 15 to 20 quality kits. I don't want my low quality kits. However, my started kits is where I have my deepest regrets. If I had not started them. I could sell them. Ugh, I have deep regrets about starting so many kits.

@TheCraftyDiamond Thank you for the compliment! I sold the kits. I am glad I have been downsizing. I have a full-time job.I get eye strain from working on spreadsheets all day. So, I don't have as much time as I would like to work on them.
I thing everyone gets Fumo when they start diamond painting I have been on a no buy for ages now I look at my kits and decide to destash them I have just moved my diamond paintings to the top of my wardrobe I have loads I have not diamond painting for awhile with hoildays and family I haven’t had time to sit at my desk and pick up my pen I am hopeing to get back to it this week good luck with your destash and moveing house if I started over I would hopefully be picky on what I brought I have far to much stuff
I will say, The Last Supper isn't as confetti heavy as I feared. We have the same one and I'm at the half way mark and have worked on several other canvases at the same time. Started it June 15. I detest the small tic tac containers. EW and bottles are my fave.
I also go all in 😂 I love my tabletop easel, but it's been modified to be bigger, shelf is thicker so my light pad can fit on it and the excess canvas can be rolled up on it.
Hi Debbie Do I have any Diamond painting regrets? I don't know. Really I don't know. Purchase without thinking ones I think I will Diamond paint later on. The problem is I don't remember what I purchased. Welcome to the world of ADHD. I have no idea how many Diamond paintings, cover minders, putty and wax I have. I Purchase when I am depressed. Once I start on a Diamond painting ie Golden Cocker Spaniel, I have fight my anxiety and panic attacks. Unlike most people who Diamond paint, I will have inner anxiety and panic attacks while Diamond painting. I enjoy Diamond painting. It is way cheaper than my other hobby: collecting Gemstones. Will I destach? No! I am OCPD, and I keep everything. I didn't Diamond paint on Monday, because I wouldn't been able to get under dining room table when our 4.4 earthquake hit. The dining room table is 70 years old, and the seat cushions are 42 years old. So, old chairs don't move quickly on fake wood floors. I am taking Herschel in to the Veterinarian for his second Laser treatment.
Hi Elizabeth, I can't imagine how you deal with earthquakes. I would be a basket case. It is best not knowing how many diamond paintings you have - if my hubby didn't tell me, I wouldn't be so anxious. I can see them, but they don't look like 300+ on the shelves! I hope Herschel is doing better. Still have him and you on my prayer list!
I guess cause I'm older and I just started dp last year I don't have FOMO... plus I have no regrets, life is about experiences and you learn from them (both good and bad).
I am older as well, and you are correct on experiences. If I had to do it all over again, would I purchase as much - sadly probably LOL! Thanks so much for watching!

Hi Debbie, I am so ready for the heat to be over too. Seems like we’ve had a heat wave all summer. To make matters worse, my hallway heater, which has been turned off for several months, decided to turn on by itself and would not turn off no matter which way I turned the knob. It took two days to figure out which breaker to turn off so I’ve been dying from the heat. 🔥🥵
We have a heat pump and really like it, but we don’t have many days in winter that are below 32 degrees here. I’m the same with craft supplies. I have sooooo much stuff that is still good but I have no desire to use it. My hubs also says I can just buy new stuff if I ever want to do that hobby again.
We only had a few bad days, but the only heat we had was the heat pump. The hubs says they are great if you have good insulation. Glad I’m not the only one with an abundance of supplies never used! I just don’t picture (see what I did there) me ever scrapbooking again unless it’s digital!

Hi Debbie! I am so glad to catch up on all your happenings there! I have been pretty sick the past 6-8 weeks with what started out as a cold. With many dr appointments and tests I have Long Covid. I get very tired and coughing like crazy. I am under my Dr's care. I guess this can last for three months or longer. I am so glad you and Paige got to go see Madison and Kyle! Loved hearing all about your trip! I used to love going as a little girl with my grandmother evey summer to the Midtown Fair! Thanks for your long whip and chat!❤

I remember you doing that one, I love it. I hope that you find this kit from this shop easier to do in color than the black and white one. I just purchased a mystery from DAC because it is a collection piece - NOT looking forward to the black and white canvas as I am also prone to migrains. I'm really tempted to order this one after watching your video, but recently purchased Mauve Easter Bunny Bonnet from Calming Canvas. I may end up getting it anyway lol. Did it ship quickly?
