How much more of a task is it for the surgeon to do surgery on a hip that has been fractured and displaced for 90+ hours? If they replace the hip ball and socket does it really matter if its done in 24 vs 96 hours from the fall/injury time?

No one down here does the lateral approach anymore, but many still do the posterior approach. And just on the doc's IT skills ... Had a total hip replacement almost 2 years ago and have had nothing but pain they tell me its not the implant but live with what my husband calls a waddle and at least 3 on pain scale went back to surgeon at least 3 to 5 times and was told he couldnt do any more for me go get a second opion ive had at least 3 opions and tried to see other doctors and get nothing back ive also been through 3 rpunds of physical therapy what can i do next

I scheduled for surgery for a total hip replacement in November. I must be sure to ask my surgeon which approach he uses. It does sound like the anterior approach is what I would prefer!
