Do you mean if we can say “other hand”? We can’t say this as it is. What we can say is the connector “on the other hand”, but in this case we hace the article “the” before “other”.
You can use other for singular uses. Eg 'the other side' is different to 'another side'.

@@richardcowan1573 absolutely. What I meant is that if we use “other” before a singular noun, that would be incorrect. Your example includes the article “the” before “other” (the other one), my point is that we couldn’t say “other book” for example. Thanks a lot .
