I suppose that I'm lucky. I've been taking tramadol for 10+ years, 100-150mg/day. I don't always take the same amount. General work, 2 pills a day. Yard work, 3 pills a day. Playing golf, 4 pills a day. I supplement the pills with an occasional Tylenol or Motrin for swelling. The US Army prescribed vitamin "M" for everything, and I found that it really doesn't do much more than kill your kidneys and liver. Tramadol has worked for me, and I do not plan on stopping it. I am sorry for all of you who've had bad experiences with this drug. I've had 13 surgeries since 2008 and I've been prescribed everything from oxy to Percocet to hydrocodone. My experience has been that after three or four days of the opiates, I switch back to Tramadol. This includes both back fusion and shoulder surgery that I've had since November 2022. Once again, I'm sorry to hear these terrible tales; I am happy you got through them. Take care.

Do some research on psilocybin and opiate detox. In some cases, on hero’s dose can rid you from withdrawals.

People don't understand what it feels like to live in a body that has physical challenge(s). I understand very well what you go through.....the body aches and also gets tired. It helps to have something that will help the individual ease the pain and tiredness.

I know this is old, but I just wanted to say I can relate as I also have SD CP. The worst for me are the people who want to pray for me. As an ambulatory user I want to stand up and kick them, but then they'd probably think their prayer worked 😊

Hey kris Thank you so much for your story . It will help a lot of people who don't know the downside of taking what seemed like instant drugs . I've Been through something very similar only recently and every word you say is correct .The only difference for me I was lucky that I had researched tramadol and found it was very dangerous. I suffered chronic pain .I restricted myself to as little as possible like one tablet a day even though I was in pain . It was just about manageable. Even at that dose the withdrawal was really bad . As you said you completely lose yourself in a nightmare of the craziest stuff . Your video should be shared all over to show people the dangers.. It's so important people know what awaits them if they want to discontinue this drug . Again thank you I'm glad you're back in good health . Get on with making great music.yours .. fellow musician Georgie 🎸

I’m currently on a 5 day cold turkey tramadol detox. I recently got a seizure earlier this week due to tramadol. I was taking 21 100mg pills everyday and Monday June 24, 2024 was the last time I took a pill. It’s been a crazy detox week but I’ve been feeling a lot better as each day goes by. The worse thing has been the major insomnia the past couple nights but I’m still battling. I’m 25 years old and I know this is just part of my story to speak about with others who are going through this at a young age or in general.

I'm reading all these comments of people who managed to come out the other side of opioid WD and mention how they finally feel human again after so long, how freeing it is to not depend on ingesting a chemical into your body everyday or else the consequences are dire. I want to do the same but goddamnit the pain of WD is just so goddamn scary and so intense, if I were able to at least sleep through some of it I would consider but youre just stuck with the pain 24/7 for 2 weeks straight which doesn't sound like a long time but when youre in it, every single tick, every second that goes by feels like an hour. I just wanna feel normal again, it isnt fun constantly swinging between feeling alright, then feeling like im on the edge of wellness and sickness, then being scared if I dont have any money or any boy to hold me....honestly i was going to perma ban myself from this server if it werent for the opioids and how good they felt, now its gotten to the point where the opioids are the reason I wanna ban myself again.

Am a Musician too. Been addicted to tramadol since 2017. I did a gradual taper and last Tuesday took my last 50mg. It's been 6 days and the only thing is the insomnia at night and also having a sense of emptiness. Its like you can't imagine life without it. How will I cope without it?. It will pass I know, I tell myself for every hour that passes by, the further I will get away from it. Man it's been a real bitch to come off it in the past. 6 days in, feeling ok apart from the sleep issue.

Tramadol can absolutely be just as addictive as any other opioid. It has a reputation of being mild, but that's not the case for many people. It's one of those drugs that has a much stronger effect in some people than others, I believe because it's a "prodrug" meaning your body has to break it down into its active form, and some people have more of the enzyme(s) required to do so than others. It's my understanding this is why the effects can vary so much from person to person. For me, it was quite effective and yes induced full blown unbearable withdrawals. I used to take like 12-15 50mg tabs a day

Kratom is now legal in Thailand. Its affects are extremely mild and won't do much for hardcore tramadol addiction. For me it can make my tongue go a bit numb but hardly has any calming affect. I use it in tea form just in case it is helping that few percent but i wouldnt worry too much about using it for tramadol withdrawal. One of the best things is to jump and wiggle about and just go out for a walk around the block at fast pace. The adrenalin or whatever exercise chemicals helps.

50 days free of tramadol after 10-11 years of using, dosage 450mg a day. It took over a month to recover but it was worth it! Exercising to keep my pain in check and its better than with tramadol! Natural euphoria! No longer need to wake up feelin bad. Or taking meds everywhere. First week is pure hell cant sleep so depressed, in pain and exhausted. From 2nd week it get better and after 1month can start pretty normal living. Insomania is the worst and depression from ssrn withdrawl effect. The pain Will ease just live healthy and rewire your brain. Sex is better the willy get alot more sensitive. The drug is no longer controlling me! I have a back/hip and knee problems, but im sporting everyday cardio and muscles. You can do it too!

A pram or perAMBULATOR is a device or wheeled vehicle used when children are tired or have difficulty walking, a wheelchair is used for the same thing by adults. What's so difficult for people to understand. ffs? When I wasn't disabled I was an ambulatory car user. I would nip to the local shops when I could have walked there but did so because it was quicker & easier to use a wheeled vehicle, take note able-bodied people. I use 2 sticks these days and struggle to walk 10 metres with them, so I use a mobility scooter to manage my lower limb disability. These people really need to get a life or preferably a brain capable of rational thought & problem solving. Sorry I'm 4 years late to the party but nice one Kris.

However, I’ve come to understand that my wheelchair is simply another tool in my arsenal, designed to assist me in my daily activities. 🙂

Bro good job! I'm a drug addict started with percocet and oxycontins 20 years ago. I was prescribed 240 a month 8 a day and I thought I was gonna kill myself because at night I couldn't sleep and I got really twitchy and restless but after just listening to you it's no nice to know about each other's similar experiences... the restless legs was just awful but thinking back you mentioned so many other things that I went through. I could write you a book as well 😂 cause I got them for nerve pain in my legs cause I'm 42 and been a type 1 insulin dependent diabetic since I was age 7... also had to give myself shots and all that stuff because my mom doesn't like blood and needles. I'm really glad you put a video out on tramodol because people need to know what this does to people. I'm not right anymore but I got off them like 7 years ago and I'm so glad I was able to because I went through absolute hell for years. This needs to be heard! 🤘 hell yeah bro good job and thank you!

Kris I am just now watching your video and I just want to say thank you. I have been in between 150-200 mg a day for over 10 years due to rheumatoid arthritis and issues with my joints associated with it. I am an otherwise healthy and active 50 year old women. Last year around this time I had an acute episode of diverticulitis and had to have 8 inches of my colon removed. I am convinced it is from being on this drug for so many years. I also am tired of feeling exactly like you said- like dog crap around hour 4 when it starts to wear off. I noticed that I have to take them after about 4-5 hours even if I have no pain, just to get through the day. Anyways I decided to get myself off of this horrible medicine and I am on day 15 now. It has been rough. I was experiencing something called brain zaps for the first 10-12 days where I would actually hear zapping in my head and then feel light headed. This medicine is awful and I never want to take it again. Thanks for your encouragement I trust God will help me one day at a time. 🙏🏻

For anyone wondering, Kratom is great and is a partial opiate agonist. Works very well for WD, especially the Kratom extracts. Word of advise: Kratom is very addicting in and of itself. I have CT of OXYs and Kratom extracts can be just as bad from a WD standpoint. If you want to use Kratom to WD from opiates, only take Kratom for 7-10 days. Then stop.

my wife left me because her stupid psychiatrist said he should be fine in 3 weeks. I started in the summer of 2020 with 150mg a day and i was forced to quit “cold turkey” in march last year. in June i started to tour the world performing concerts and took some sleeping pills here and there some benzos on and off.. last month i took a 50mg tramadol for a few days.. did something but that anxiety and depression, especially this specific pressure in the back of my head which doesn’t want to go away is really disturbing. congrats to you and if you might know anything that could help me with the pressure in my head behind pls let me know.. i know that i had a trauma by doing a cold turkey and that my wife left me.. it was too much at once but i believe that its possible to survive all this with people having had the right experiences…
