I wanted to know a 40mm 17”L about foot tall ammo box would fit 6.5 speaker side by side and 17”Lx10.13”X13” ammo box would Not fit 6.5 on the speaker side by side on front?
Do think plastic 17”Lx10.13”Wx13”H plastic would fit this Pyle 6.5 Inch Dual Marine Speakers - 2 Way Waterproof and Weather Resistant Outdoor Audio Stereo Sound System with 150 Watt Power, Polypropylene Cone and Cloth Surround - 1 Pair - PLMR60W (White) fit side by side on the front of that ammo box measurement I listed ?
ok I did troubleshooting by myself because this guy doesnt state it. but for the long red wire you have to, connect the long red wire to the brown wire. and connect that red wire with the 2 other red wires on the wiring harnes. just twist up the wires and put a cap on em. that works. I just did it like 5 minutes ago. and the radio works wonderfully
I have PLMR60W that want to put on a plastic box with handle length wise what plastic ammo box or dry storage marine box would fit them side by side ? on the length side of box
Been my go to video for this project, been extremly helpful, one question tho, at 2:00, where does that red wire specifically come from, from the adapter or the radio connectors or does it not matter
if tou havent figured it out yet, tou have to connect that long red wire to the other 2 red wires on the wiring harness. just twist those 3 wires together and put a cap on em like the guy did with all the other wires
@@320_allstarthx mann was looking though the comments hoping I found another person running into the same problem…but love the way you explained it 😂 thx
@@lehicer9971 np lol. I knew that that would be a problem cause the dude in the video didnt state it and i had to figure it out by myself because literally nowhere on youtube does it explain how to do it. i looked for hours lol. just ended up putting those 3 red wires together in frustration and it worked. such a relief
Just so you know: Fuses are sized to protect your wiring. The idea is for the fuse to pop before your wires start melting. You can't just "pop a bigger one in there" if your fuses are popping, otherwise your wires could start melting. You have to select the proper fuse based on your wire gauge , and you select the proper wire gauge based on your circuit's current.
Nice quad for an 88 my 88 has no front plastics and has trailer fenders for fenders , I don’t get why you’d put the snorkel in the front though right in the middle of your field of view
you should be good with this method. note that if you find other videos where they didnt have to tap in to the ac its because its a 1999-2002 gen of cateye silverado. for some reason they work with aftermarket radios without having to splice into the brown wire
Man I’m super late to this vid but this has got to be the stupidest question but how did you do the top part I wanna do something similar but can find what that board is called but it looks really clean
very good about everything mostly about the wire ignition power because gm does not have power ignition.. we have to wire up to another source 12 volt power ignition. congratulations you make everything easy while others does not explain well and make them harder.
My truck doesnt have the wheel huttons but i do have a new radio like aftermarket wit a screen can i wire the buttons from the wheel to control the radio with the corresponding buttons?
i figured out he connected the 2 red wires with the long red wire. and twisting them together and putting a cap on. i just did it now and it worked lol
I saw this speaker on amazon PLMR60W and saw that the Product Dimensions are 7.4 x 7.6 x 7.1 inches and I wanted to know if they would fit on the plastic ammo box with this 15.75"L x 8"W x 10"H ?
@@casonray who would know if the speaker dimensions are 7.4x7.6x7.1 what the plastic ammo box dimensions should be to fit that dim speaker on the plastic ammo box?
