Didn't have a go pro at the time i was making these headlights but hopfuly next time i do something custom ill be able to just grab the camera and start recording. I used the Ridgid fog lights as my low beams since they are DOT and SAE compliant but i dont know if thats only for fog lights. either way they act like projector lights in my opinion and nobody flashes me. i dont reccemend doing this unless you know for sure if it is legal or not.

that low beam cut off probably blinds everyone else on the road

Honestly, I had it like that for 4 years before I sold the truck and never got flashed. Of course tho if your in a car your gonna get blind because you are dead even with the beam. But when I did the research on the lumens it was equivalent to the f-150’s led lights so I never had any issues with blinding people unless I was behind them at a red light

I’ve had them since May of 2019. Perfectly safe at highway speeds. When I go out of town I travel mostly at night to beat the traffic. Plus the windshield is tinted on top of that! Can see perfectly fine

@cason ray cool story. But a foglamp lacks the distance required too do 60mph. Aimed high enough too see well enough too do 60mph and your causing glare for oncoming traffic.

@@Saddedude All that paper research is cool and all but with real world experience I can confirm that my headlights are angled properly! no one flashes me. I have no issues seeing at 60 plus miles an hour. On paper they may not be “safe” but I’ve had people flash me with led bulbs. NO ONE flashes me with these pods. I appreciate your concern

I feel like I kinda have an Idea how he did it. I THINK He just power each pod to the high and low wiring that came with the headlights when he got them. Just change them out to pods. Cause them pods only come with a power and ground. And hook em up to the wiring that comes to the lights. I could be wrong but make sense lol idk just guessing
