Nice one, Stu, nice and simple. But (there's always a 'but', with me, as you know), from 0:45 onwards, I couldn't help seeing the face of a 'Clown', with a big left ear, and wearing a hat (NO!, not you), :o) as it's on the tree, of the original painting, that kept popping up. It's easy to spot, now, as it's in the middle of the tree. Easy to spot for me, that is, with my vivid & twisted imagination. We all know you hate seeing faces in the clouds, but, as it's not in the sky, is this one staying? And as for talking too much, we learn from seeing AND hearing, mate, so, that's your answer!!! :o) P.S. Some might see Dobby (from Harry Potter), and not a Clown? :o)
Thanks for another fine tutorial Stuart. Love black & white paintings although you used only black. Marvellous what can be done with a bit of imagination. Hope you’re keeping well. See you next time.😎🇦🇺🦘
Once again thank you for that Maestro..this is something more than your usual demonstrations..at least for me goes far over a lesson, yet more intimate.thank you
We come here to watch you be yourself and do as you have always done. Yes im sure some folks want you to change, and that may add a few more views but i think if you stay true to yourself it will keep growing as it has over the last few years and if you would change that you may have more ppl leave than are added. Then again it is your art and your time and your video so you do as you see fit. I will always watch as i find you and your art fascinating.
Quite interesting to see how you worked this out but I wish you had left a puddle in the south-west area as you had in mind yourself. Water is always very refreshing.
The commentary is very engaging, helpful, and humorous. Listening to one’s own voice we tend to not quite have the objectivity of a listener of course. It’s generally a lot easier for a self-examining person to be extra critical. Not an altogether bad thing ultimately but I suppose it’s a bit of a mild paradox? Thanks for the work you do.
this year 2024 i began painting with you, Your voice is wonderful instruction is very appreciated and your voice is relaxing, love your work .keep talking .thank you Sandy J.
I am not sure if I would call them moody or depressing, sometimes a little dark, but they always make me imagine what isn't there, but you know should be, in my case the fey in the forest or the trolls in the wood. I love them
Your videos are beautiful! I doubt I'll get a reply, I've seen how busy you are. Don't know if I don't try though... The last image of the 3 here, do you have the whole video of you painting it? I know it's similar techniques to the rest that are all explained in much more detail just on a smaller scale. But I love the last one of these sketches. I'll happily send you a tenner just for that full video if you do have it ❤ stay well 💪🏻 and thank you for all your help
Do you find that the more detail that you add to the monochrome under painting makes adond the color easier? Establish detailed values?? Thanks for posting your process.
With regard to your heart condition, please google "Omega 3 Salmon Oil ". I use it and gave it to my old Dad when he was in heart failure. Helped him immensely. Died when he was 94. Worth a look.
I have had Hashimotos, for about 50 years. I take supplemental thyroid also. I so enjoy your videos. You have inspired me to go back to painting. Thank you.
I would be very interested in how you would go about adding a windmill or something similar man made to a painting like this without making it look out of place, would you be willing to show us that in a future video or maybe point me to a video you already made
I don't understand the awesome technique. Do you think with oil or thinner? I tried with linseed, and it was a bloody mess. Is there a written or tutorial I could reference on how to get started? Help from the USA Love your work
I love the freedom you give me in your lessons. I have one question. Is there a second video on this painting since I see a colored version at the beginning of your video? Thanks so much!
I enjoy both your short and long format videos. The music was great, not corny at all in my opinion. Thanks for producing so many of these helpful videos.
