The reviews are unique because I buy and pay for each item that I review. So, I will honestly tell you what I like and what you need to know if you are thinking about adding the item to your collection. And with over 25 years of experience, and have already bought lots of dogs, by this point I know what is good and what to stay away from.
I love this trick but performed it and spectator immediately pointed out that there was 2 cards together because of the way it's designed. How do you best do this trick close up without the cards showing due to the cards design?
I've not had this problem. It takes practice for sure and maybe stand just a bit more away from the spectator. Thanks for watching my videos and for your question.
Thank you very much for the very helpful description. You could contact a film company and have them film a video with you with e.g. 30 magic tricks for beginners to copy and bring it to the stores.
Didn't know about the rubber cement tape. Being an artist and a little crafty as well as being into magic since i was 6-7ish its very hard to believe out of all the gimmicks I've bought and made that that product never came into play for me. Thanks again Mike!
It’s actually not rubber cement on a roll. It’s extremely thin adhesive transfer tape. I came across a roll years ago when I was a professional photographer. I used a small piece of the material to hold photographs in the folders that I delivered the pictures in.
So 1/16 inch, or 0,0625 inches, equals 0,158 cm, or approx 1,5 mm... MAN, You gotta love the metric system 😄😉 You will never hear some one tell you to cut off 1/27 of a centimeter 😉 That would also be small ass H, with its 0,04 mm. 😜
Amazing gimmick ❤ another tip when your doing the riffle to force the gimmick is watch thier lips 💋 to time it. Great tip for the cover cards for the orientation of the gimmick. 🎉🎉 🎉
Also, it’s hack but riffling too fast at first, then saying, “You have to say stop faster,” will keep the spectator from going too slow and then you stopping before she does. Hack, but it works. Thanks for the suggestion. Excellent.
Love your location reveal just plain smart. I think I first learned this set up from Sankey but it’s great to be reminded! So much gets filed away lol.
@@MaioneMagicReview OMG that’s right I knew I had seen it as a kid! You’re right the locked deck. In actuality the locked deck is likely a perfect use for it because it could only fan one way.
I looking for this information about the coloring book and I find out a treasure of pure Gold right here in your video, thank you so much, God Bless from México 🇲🇽
Hi Mike, thank you so much for the review. I think you are the only person reviewing this product. I have a question, if I buy 2 sets (different colors) of these, would I be able to perform C/S or 🌞 and 🌙 with the gaffs?
I personally think that the mastermind deck is one of the best decks that you can get because of the versatility provided when with the deck. Problem is, you can only perform at once, but that doesn’t stop it from being a very stunning magic trick to your audience!
As you saw in the demo it is EASY to flash this peek. It is VERY angle sensitive...that is why it is now discounted everywhere to $25! These (I'm guessing) did not sell and those that did were returned or placed in the magic drawer to never be used again. I saw this demoed by Mark Mason at the Magic Road show and the peek was so obvious and was flashed immediately that for a $50 wallet it was really a joke. -NO carry space for other items -Angle sensitive as in the spectator MUST be right in front of you -Cannot be left on the table or handled even briefly by the spectator -Essentially a one trick pony
I am rethinking my opinion of this prop. It is a bit easy to flash if not very careful. Thanks for sharing your opinion. I think it should be considered by those interested in the wallet. - M
Mike Excellent helpful rewiew and interesting trick , thanks for your work. Do you have Tricolour by Simon Lipkin ? I have buy it and I’m excited looking forward to your opinion 😃
Hi Mike, excellent review, as always!!! Thorough, thoughtful, informative, candid and enjoyable! Hope to see you at Magic Live. Thanks for all you do! Your friend, David
I’d be interested in you comparing this and Liam Montier’s What Happens In Vegas. Same price, same plot, different reveal and no “rough” parts to McComb through.
Thanks again for a perfect review. Everythink is at the point and the review is very helpfull . I like the plot of this type of magic and a search for some tricks . The price himself is heavy but i think its the effect worth. So thanks Mike keep going for more reviews 👏
Hi Mike, GREAT REVIEW! GREAT PRESENTATION! As alwaysnthis review is thorough, thoughtful, informative, candid, and enjoyable. Your filmed presentation was GREAT! Thanks for all you do for the Magic and Mentalism Community! Your friend, David
Thanks so much for the review. I really enjoyed your presentation, very clever and adds another strong layer to the trick :) It was great to see the audiences reaction, it is a fooler! Thanks again
I am glad you enjoyed it. The Missing Piece is truly a wonderful prop and as I said in the video I am thrilled to have one. Nice work Connie, you and Paul did an amazing job.
Awesome review Mike , i really like your reviews because its exactly on the point , the pro , the contras , and a live performance . This is what a good review makes great . Thanks for your awesome work an the time that you spend for us ! And btw your chop routine is fantastic , thanks for the inspirations . Keep up Mike !
Everything is good 😌 I search for a final load beside the lemon and your idea was very good . At the moment I use napkins or post - it for the balls it is more realistic that a bill because I don’t like the crumple thing but for the final load I have not found a suprise ending . But btw your idea is great 👍
Totally lost me on this one. $33 for a Gimmick I've had as a homemade thing for 20 years and socks that would cost $12 on Amazon? I don't know who invented the Gimmick but it's been around forever and so many others versions are out there. Or for a little power, go all in on a signed card version.
Thanks for commenting and for checking out my reviews. Of course, when we buy magic we are often paying for the routine which accompanies the props. I think that's the case here. That said, it is true that the gimmick has been around for a long while. I think I learned of it with one of the very first tricks I bought called The Locked Deck. And as mentioned it's easy to make. As far as buying socks on Amazon that are inexpensive... there is at only one sock I found that would work for a similar but not the same routine... I ordered it and plan to use it with one of the socks I already have, make up a second gimmick and then be able to produce two different cards from my socks. I would love to see a (your?) signed card version of the trick... I know of one version that involves a shoot down your trousers connecting your pocket to your sock. Again, thanks for commenting.
Great review as always! My two cents on this trick would be that we can easily upgrade it with all the nice options for custom ironing transfers. First of all, this allows to print those transfers to different clothes other than socks and, as you said that the gimmicks are easy to remake, I guess you can easily make more for other cards that can be forced instead of the 7♥ This opens new horizons for this trick, as you can customize it for a special client that has a prefered card or, if you have time between tables, you can switch cards and show another reveal for the other table. The only change I would make to the performance itself, is that I always keep myself from making spectators check the full deck twice, as it's quite slow them to do so and it disturbs the flow of the presentation.
Yes... great ideas... why socks, tee shirt, underwear (definitely for special occasions), etc. and the gimmick is very easy to make. Regarding looking through cards twice... true slows down the presentation, but you want the spectator to be convinced the card is gone. I will try and see what works best for me. Thanks for the feedback and for checking out my videos.
