@@MaioneMagicReview Strangely coincidental, an hour after making my original post, I received in the mail Eugene Burgers posthumous book, "From Beyond" which offers two versions of the trick I described. It is called, Shotglass Surprise. It solidly confirms my strongly held opinion that books are a way better investment in magic than spending the money taking the risk on a dealer trick. Not only does the book have that trick, it also has several other even more amazing bits of magic and a wealth of insight into the art of magic. Comparatively speaking, if the Appearing Glass is $40. Eugene Burgers book is easily worth several hundred. But lucky for us you can buy it for $80. Get it while you can!

Thanks. And darn good question. I was wondering the same. Seems to me the bag should be available without the fancy box, the glass, and the stopper, but I did not contact Steve, so I don't know. Forget about making your own. The bag is quite special. All that said it should last a pretty long time. It seems very durable.

Given the quality of the prop, the thinking that went into designing and producing the items... IMHO $40 is a bargain... But what's a bargain to one is not necessarily a bargain to another. Thanks for sharing your opinion and for watching my vids. I appreciate it.

You could, but would you be able to show the inside of the bag before the production? And would you be able to use the bag over and over again? Would you feel comfortable letting a spectator reach into the bag to remove the glass full of beverage? If you said yes to all three questions, then yes make the bag yourself.

Yes... in the instructions Steve mentions that it is a good place to put the glass.
