Thank you for this extremely helpful video. I paint with watercolours but have problems with control at times as the paint seems to go where it is not supposed to. I think it’s simply practice and your tips help heaps. I also enjoy your restful manner.
I continue watching his videos with great pleasure. Terry is and will continue to be one of my sources of inspiration. Thank you, greetings from Barcelona.
He was my inspiration about 25 years ago when I watched his demonstration at the NEC in Birmingham.Still have his pallette and brushes nd books I brought then plus he gave me one of his demonstration painting.Started painting again about 5 years ago .I paint just for my own enjoyment.
Some more useful tips from Terry Harrison archives... Thank you so much from France! Although I am bad at drawing , following his tips and practicing his techniques, as well as his personality and his sense of humor, all that made me enjoy my first ‘ready to paint tutorials’ with him and I will do some more.🙂
Brilliant! A great thank you for keeping putting on Terry Harrison's tips .I hope you will get all the support you need to keep his memory and work alive. This video will be very useful to me for future projects and it is always such a pleasure to watch his tutorials...(Michèle, from France)
What a joy to hear the voice again of my teacher for long years since 2007. Thank you for this initiative. Please continue to make the master tutorials accessible to new students
I was at my local art store and came across one of Terry Harrison’s art books. When flipping through it, I knew I had to purchase and try his techniques. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this artist and what he has taught me. My artwork has become so enjoyable for me. ❤
I am so excited to see that there are videos of him. I have several of his books that i often use to assist me in developing a painting. It was a sad day in my artistic journey when he passed. Thank you so much for this u tube channel. ❤
I am so sad to hear that Terry passed away. I had just told my husband that I wanted to see Terry Harrison, and visit areas in his paintings, if I ever got the chance to travel from the Western USA to England, along with the Jane Austen sites. My dad died that same year as Terry, which makes it even sadder. I have been collecting Terry's painting books for years and am very eager to get a set of his brushes. I am so excited that you will be sharing his videos here on RU-vid.
Thank you so much for taking your time to sort through, edit, upload and manage these videos. I am so sad to hear that Terry is no longer with us, I have just found his book 'Complete Guide to Watercolour Landscapes' on my bookshelf and dug it out ready to really give learning this a go. It is an incredible book and it is clear that Terry was a fabulous teacher. I am really looking forward to learning from him using the book, and the archive videos. I have also just purchased some paints from the website too. What a legacy he has left, the family should be very proud indeed. Thank you again for letting it all live on.
Hi, Terry was mainly using his Shadow pigment which is available @ terryharrisonart.com. in the video he mixes it with some of his other pigments for a variety of shades, but the base is Shadow
