Prasad one more thing about “Lumbini” in Nepal. Nepal obtained independence in 1923 nearly 25 years before Ceylon They were able to solidify and write Buddha born in Lumbini, Nepal narrative whilst we were under the boots of British for another quarter century!! That fact cannot be over looked How proud we should if Buddha found to be was from Lanka We are cursed until we reclaim our true history But our own people want to bat bowl field and cheer for India India does not care two hoots about Buddha and Buddhism Nepal is there for tourism. All their temples and places of worship came much much later Infact Indians dispute the birth place in Lumbini, Nepal which is over 600km away from Bodhgaya. They think Buddha birth place is much much nearer. But they are not interested to prove that India is Hinduism . They see Buddhism as a threat
The second person who discovered Lumbini along with Fuhrer. Khadga Samsher Rana's discoveries, particularly the Lumbini excavation, have faced criticisms and controversies: 1. _Lack of documentation_: Rana's excavation methods and documentation were not well-documented, making it difficult for later scholars to verify his findings. 2. _Destruction of site_: Rana's excavation techniques were criticized for being destructive, leading to the loss of valuable archaeological evidence. 3. _Misinterpretation_: Some scholars argue that Rana misinterpreted the evidence he found, leading to incorrect conclusions about the site's history. 4. _Nationalistic bias_: Rana's work was influenced by his Nepalese nationalism, which some argue led him to emphasize the site's significance to Nepal over its broader historical context. 5. _Lack of peer review_: Rana's findings were not subject to rigorous peer review, which might have caught errors or inconsistencies. 6. _Questionable dating_: Some scholars question Rana's dating of the Lumbini site, suggesting that it may be later than he claimed. 7. _Oversimplification_: Rana's conclusions about the site's history were oversimplified, neglecting the complexity of the archaeological evidence.
@@dtakamalakirthidissanayake9770 You had your say in these forums You write a thousand times making emotional pleas it won’t work anymore . Being emotional is not proof. Be honest , broaden your horizons, think outside of the box instead of Frog in the well.
@@dtakamalakirthidissanayake9770 This what the whole project is.. People like Prasad doing the hard yards. We definitely do not agree Buddha born in India. There is an element of Beliefs as well ( just like anything else on ancient history like anywhere in the history. You guys want to shut it down and lock it way with closed minds no tolerance for alternative views and opinions.. we are not agreement with that. Dr. Alois Anton Führer scandal? One of British colonial officers who discovered Lumbini. Dr. Alois Anton Führer was involved in a scandal during his career as an archaeologist and epigraphist in India. Some of the controversies and criticisms surrounding him include: 1. _Fabrication of inscriptions_: Führer was accused of fabricating or manipulating inscriptions to support his own theories or interpretations. 2. _Inaccurate decipherments_: He was criticized for making errors in deciphering ancient scripts, which led to incorrect conclusions. 3. _Plagiarism_: Führer was accused of plagiarizing work from other scholars without proper credit or acknowledgment. 4. _Unprofessional conduct_: He was involved in disputes with colleagues and faced allegations of unprofessional behavior. 5. _Lack of transparency_: Führer was criticized for not being transparent about his methods and sources, making it difficult for others to verify his findings. The most notable scandal surrounding Führer was the "Führer Forgery" or "Führer Fabrication" controversy, where he was accused of fabricating an inscription to support his theory about the birthplace of the Buddha. This scandal led to a re-evaluation of his work and damaged his reputation.
