@@brunoalegria4161 not to sure, I bought it off or Amazon , however it recently just snapped off the top, so I would recommend buying a reputable brand instead!
You were most likely targeting sea bass or Robalo in Portuguese. The problem: Robalo wants white water and strong currents. When the wind blows hard and the water seems impossible to fish - then it's time to get your lure rod out. Best time for sea bass in Portugal is from end of January till the end of April when it's cold as hell, windy AF, and dangerous to be out there on the rocks. Many of us wear lifejackets for a reason when out there for Robalo.
That was nuts and the drone footage really added something to a great video. It’s a long drive up from Plymouth but one of these days I might have to have a trip up. 👍😎🎣
@@Andymelvin006 thanks for watching! Bet you have some great fishing down Plymouth, but yeah is a bit of a drive! Some good fishing in this area though if you do fancy it! Looking forward to doing some more drone footage when the weather gets better!
@@TomFreddyOddy Thanks Tom! Was my first go on it so happy with the results! I would have but a few beers may or may not have been had! Hope you’re good :)
Great video, the Mackerel were so good! I had a big bass the Sandbanks side of where you were fishing last week but on squid not lures. Also lots of school bass on ragworm. Next time i'll take my spinning rod and do some lure fishing. Can i ask what Head torches you both have please?
@@Nurwin1 Thanks for watching! Yeah the mackerel were insane! So big and so fun to catch! Brilliant stuff mate I never have had much luck sandbanks side personally but determined to catch there. Let me know how you get on spinning! It’s so fun on the light tackle! The head torch is a fenix rechargeable (about 80 quid) I think we both have the 1400 lumens.
@@mrchrisb1000 thanks for watching! Will keep that in mind for next time! Mainly was catching on the savage gear seeker, fish black minnow and the top water was fishy’s espitite!
Baring in mind you are fishing illegally. If states in the signs that THERE IS NO FISHING ALLOWED. WHILE YOU ARE DISMISSING THE LAW ON A PRIVATE ROAD!! EVIDENCE THAT YOU are fishing In a NO FISHING AREA, WHILE THE CHAIN FERRY IS WORKING, DISGUSTING!!!
@rikosheafishing I have a life, you need to grow up. Stop putting others at risk by fishing ILLEGALLY. it says no fishing fact! Respect the law and the fact that you are irresponsible while promoting illegal activities.
@@davidstula578 I think for their size mackerel give a really aggressive fun fight and their head shakes are a lot more intense, however when you catch a decent size bass it’s more heavy and fights stronger. So for the size mackerel, but big bass are what I love the most! Both great sport!
@@hit-n-runfishing thanks for watching! I use a 28g diawa ninja lure rod! Rikki has a slightly heavier casting weight can’t remember what brand. We both fish pretty light but it’s so fun pulling in fish on the light tackle!
@@phantommartyr5069 thank you! fiish black minnow, bouncing it along the bottom! Honestly best lure in the box had a lot of luck on the yellow ones when it’s dark
Had a 53cm basil out of Poole Park Lake a couple of days ago. Man in the pub said there are bigger ones than that in there too! Check it out! Good work Rik; keep on fishing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SvpSw30Xjxk.html
Nice video mate, in Portugal depending on the area and days, some bass lures work better than others, sometimes live bait works even better, hit me up if you come around again, im currnently in Lisbon.
@@TiagoFigueiredo1 thanks man! Great advice, I saw some locals in Lagos using crab bait in a sleeve. Will definitely hit you up, will definitely be coming again! Loved every minute of that trip! And the sea food was insane
@@BenSimpkinBS good effort, I only got a small bass in the harbour the other week. Try studland or southbourne early morning if you are after a bigger fish! Or if in Weymouth try ferry bridge
