You were most likely targeting sea bass or Robalo in Portuguese. The problem: Robalo wants white water and strong currents. When the wind blows hard and the water seems impossible to fish - then it's time to get your lure rod out. Best time for sea bass in Portugal is from end of January till the end of April when it's cold as hell, windy AF, and dangerous to be out there on the rocks. Many of us wear lifejackets for a reason when out there for Robalo.

Nice video mate, in Portugal depending on the area and days, some bass lures work better than others, sometimes live bait works even better, hit me up if you come around again, im currnently in Lisbon.

@@TiagoFigueiredo1 thanks man! Great advice, I saw some locals in Lagos using crab bait in a sleeve. Will definitely hit you up, will definitely be coming again! Loved every minute of that trip! And the sea food was insane

@@brunoalegria4161 not to sure, I bought it off or Amazon , however it recently just snapped off the top, so I would recommend buying a reputable brand instead!
