Memories are made through experiences. We travel to make memories. Our big world has many wonders and we wander to see the world.
We are a small family from the Los Angeles area full of wanderlust. Like many others, we love to travel, whether it be local trips around LA, or big trips around the world. We've worked hard -- and we've also been lucky -- to be able to make that happen. With planning and care, we are able to continue on our adventures with 2 little ones. We hope our videos will be helpful, inspiring, and entertaining for you all to watch. Either way, we'd love to have you come join us as we wander the globe.
Hi! is there's a chance you can recommend a private transfer service or a way to find them? - looking to make the trip Ninh Binh - Ha Long :) We are family of 1 kids and 6 adults, so Private van should be the best option.
Hi Anni. Thank you for reaching out. We used this person who was recommended to us by my cousin: DU LỊCH THÁI LINH - Thai Linh Travels MR THÁI 0986292888 Facebook: facebook.com/quy.thai.77

Thanks! We went in late December and it is a must! If you are going during the summer, we heard that the Tam Coc might have nicer views with the rice fields. Please let us know if you have any other questions. 😊
That’s a good question! I believe they do allow it You’ll get breaks but I’m not sure if your little one will enjoy sitting for long periods of time. It’s very relaxing and scenic and so some kids might like it, while other kids might go crazy if they like just running around. When we did our research, we found that others didn’t recommend toddlers and younger to go on this boat tour. Our kids were about 5 and 9 at the time though and they loved it. Hope that helps.
How long did you stay in danang? And in hoi an? I am planning our trip, and i like how your itinerary was set up! Also, i was not going to do the marble mountain, but you convinced me!! 😮❤
Hi Sweet Potatoes! Thanks for the question and the compliment on the itinerary! The itinerary definitely worked out for us. We stayed 2 nights in Da Nang and 2 nights in Hoi An. Just to give you some more info…the distance between Da Nang and Hoi An are pretty close so we were able to squeeze in beach time in the morning in Da Nang. We had lunch, and then headed to Marble Mountain which is on the way to Hoi An. We arrived in Hoi An at about 4pm, checked into our hotel, relaxed, and then went to dinner at a Morning Glory right next to where all the boat night time Gondola rides are. Keep an eye out for our upcoming video of Hoi An to see what that experience was like. 😊 and thank you for following us! 🥰
Excellent video. A real eye opener as far as Da Nang is concerned. We heading to Vietnam in March and were going to skip Da Nang in favour of Hue and Hoi An. But that night market and food may swing it for Da Nang. 😀Again, excellent video guys!
Omg. Thank you so much! We can’t imagine skipping Da Nang as it was very memorable for us. We haven’t been back to Vietnam for over 25 years and Da Nang felt like, “Wow, this is what we imagined Vietnam would be like.” It’s modern, hip, trendy, but with beautiful beaches and historical sites. Thanks again! Let us know if you have any more questions before March. ❤️
@@littlebigwanders When you said it reminded you of Tokyo it was great. We love Tokyo. Thank you for your offer, I am sure to have questions - where they haven't been answered in your videos. 😀
Thanks for your question! Are you asking about Ba Na Hills? When we went, we bought tickets through our hotel. With a ride there and back, including a lunch buffet meal, tickets were around 900k VND or about $37 USD each person. You can also check their website for information. Hope that helps! banahills.sunworld.vn/en
I checked some places and it looks like people didn’t see any tonight. The bioluminescent waves can be sporadic, sometimes lasting a few days and sometimes weeks or months. Good luck getting a glimpse of this beautiful natural phenomenon.
Hey, I am taking my family to LA on Christmas weekend and we wanted to ride this train. However, it is completely sold out. Do you know if we show up in person, do they usually have some tickets available, or can they squeeze us in? Thanks in advance!
It was sold out when we went too but our friend lined up early before 5pm. They allowed a lot of people to buy the tickets when we went so I think there’s a fair chance you’ll be okay purchasing there. I think that would be your best bet. Good luck!
Thank you so much for your summary video. I am the person to plan there with my 4 years old son in December soon. Your video is actually helpful to me.
You’re so welcome! It’s good to see fellow planners. As you can see, we also enjoy planning and taking videos. We hope you have a blast when you make it there with your 4 year old son. ❤️
@@littlebigwanders I’ve been to Jawbone but not during the super bloom I’m gonna definitely have to go when it blooms like that again it’s so stunning. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for your generous words! We definitely are truly blessed here in California. The superblooms are so wonderful when we get a lot of rain. 🥰💐
Thankyou, Great video! I am getting ideas for places to take my son and he would loooove to visit the cat sanctuary 🐈 and so fun to take the ferry over for the day. Can't wait to try all the food trucks and shaved ice.
Omg, our daughter still wants to go back to the cat sanctuary! It's such a fun place for cat lovers. Thank you for the compliment on the video. Please let us know if you have any more questions. =)
Hi sir. I am taking halong bay tour also. Is this Ninh binh - trang an tour similar. I have heard that trang an is like halong bay on land. Also I have heard that 2 hrs boat ride will b difficult with kids as we r travelling with kids 7 year and 2 year old I want your advise. Should I go with trang an tour considering that I am taking halong bay tour or should I take Hanoi city day tour in place of trang an - ninh bin tour. Waiting for your response. Thanks
Hi! Thanks for commenting! Good questions. We did an overnight Halong Cruise (see our Halong video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rkfYmudgtzM.html), and it was a lot of fun. The cave boat ride from the cruise was MUCH shorter, but the scenes are all breathtaking. It is so nice to be on one of those cruises. You can't go wrong there. The Trang An Boat Tour is also amazing. Between the 2, we probably like Ninh Binh more, but both are still amazing in their own ways. The Trang Boat tour is long, but they give you plenty of breaks. You're probably not on a boat any more than 20 or 30 minutes at a time. During your breaks, you can stretch your legs as long as you want, have time to change diapers, etc. Your boat driver won't rush you. They just wait until you come back to the boat. Our kids had a blast. I hope that helps. As for a Day Tour from Hanoi...with kids, I wouldn't hop on a bus from Hanoi to Halong or Ninh Binh to do a day tour with kids as that's A LOT of traveling (2.5 hrs to Halong, 1.75 hrs to Ninh Binh). To make it relaxing, I'd stay in one of those cities. But that all depends on the amount of time you have. Feel free to ask any more questions. <3
I really love how you shot and presented this video. I haven't seen many family travel videos like yours in Vietnam. Our family is heading to Ninh Binh in November. If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost of your Trang An boat tour?
Thank you so much! Making travel videos with little ones is definitely hard so we are very grateful for positive feedback. ❤️ To answer your question, each ticket costs 250,000 VND, which we thought was totally worth it. Please let us know if you have any more questions. 😊
@@littlebigwanders Thanks so very much for responding. 250K VND is about $16 AUD so it sounds like a bargain. We're currently filling in eVisa applications so it is starting to get real 😀
I live in the Antelope Valley for 12 years and moved last year to Georgia and the super bloom where so pretty the thing that sucks is the butterflies when you drive
Thank you so much! Our kids were 4 and 9 when they hiked this. Our girl was almost 5 years old though. I think the hike was very doable as long as your little one has some experience hiking. December is a great time to go on the Hang Mua hike as the weather is cooler around that time. Feel free to let us know if you have any more questions. 😊
3 hours of ride, man. You guys had better pay him well plus tip, bro. Nothing feels better than going back to the country where you were born and visiting and talking to the locals, our comrades whom we left for more than 40 years. It's sad but happy at the same time, nostalgic yes, and...
Yes, we tipped a well-deserved tip. They work hard and we appreciated it. 😊 It was definitely bittersweet at times but overall, Ninh Binh made us feel very proud to be Vietnamese. Thanks for your comment!
Our trip took a total of 8 days. That gave us enough time to do all the things we did in the video and still have some down time. Thanks for your question! Please let us know if you have any more questions. 😊
