I have a similar problem but not as much water on the side of my house so I bought the Milwaukee transfer stick pump but didn’t really work for me cause the water that was staying behind was not enough or high enough to get pumped with the stick transfer pump. So I wanted to know how low will it work pumping the water before it stops? Was thinking of getting something like this or the drill pump one they have.

To save you some time here, you don’t need to take the whole tape apart to fix it. Simply get something small and push back on those rubber feet until they start to grab the tape again. Fixed mine in about 30 seconds.

I want to stetch the width of the paddle of my icemachine for about 2 milimeter so that is better scrapes off the icecrystals on the side of the bowl. The gap is too wide now, so a layer of ice clugs to it which is not good, so I want to make the gap smaller by stretching the paddle. I also have the same clamps as you do and they can be tweaked, for this job, to stretch material or things instead of pressing material. Do you think it is possible to stretch a plastic item when I heat it very gradually and cautiously apply force to it to stretch the material to the desired length? And does it matter of which plastic it is made of? because I have not managed to do so, thus far. It is white dense and a little flexible, but it has no identification on it. I also have a heatgun for which I can set the temperature, which I want to do to be more safe. Which temperature would be suitable do you think?

Mine did the same thing only after 6 months of use. I just took it back to Home Depot and they replaced it for free which was much easier. Good job however.

Ya. It is a cheap part (as are most things these days) so it breaks easily just from regular use. I've swapped the bolt a couple times now i think.

I have a plastic chair in my classroom that has a crack do you think this technique would mend the crack?
@thehandyhomeowner9781
@thehandyhomeowner9781 Месяц назад
Doubtfull. Best thing is a plastic welder or the heated staple type things that melt into it and hold it back together. Being a chair though you are now getting into a safety issue so might be best to make sure you're the only one using it for a while after the repair.

Great video! Can I ask, how low does it get the water level too? I have a small, artificial pond that I need to empty once in a while to clean. How much water will be left in it? Like an inch of water?

I know you probably wouldn't need it but it would be nice if there were an electric start option for those extremely cold days. Those appear to be a good replacement engine for a snowblower.

I agree. They have a larger engine that does have it i think but that would require different pulleys and belts etc.

It looks very similar to me. I also agree the liquid may have made just a little bit deeper green. I have been studying how to add Magnesium Sulfate to lawns to help the lawns be able to absorb the other fertilizers and nutrients better. Magnesium Sulfate can be purchased by buying Epsom Salt at wal mart. They say 3 lbs. of Epsom salt for every 1000sq feet of yard space will help green up the lawn too.

HUGE HELP! My carport is in the low spot of our property with no drain... The water comes in, doesn't leave. Then it gets above or under the kick plates in the door when it's really storming and welcomes itself into the house. Now that doesn't happen all that time, but, once was enough. I didn't know what to buy, and what HP/Flow to look for. I also didn't know how fast it would drain an area like you had - this is a huge help thank you so much!

Great information. I have similar set up being end unit in townhome complex in Denver. Here’s a comment I forwarded to another person but had no response. I’ll be adding radiant barrier to bottom of trusses/rafters and on gable wall attached 1.5” foiled rigid foam board with air gap. Will need deal with HOA approval to cut into gable so thinking of other solutions. There be no eves so need figure efficient way to install some air vents near where eves would have been or other places. The rest is ll in my comment so if you could kindly read it and share your thoughts would really appreciate it. Thanks ! Paul Hey trying to deal with existing couple louvered box vents in roof. Have 700sq’ attic under insulated being hot as hell due to minimal 4” grey fluff insulation from 40 years ago. No insulation under roof trusses or gable wall. Going to add 1.5”EPS foam board foil faced outward to gable wall 2X6 studs 13”OC. They are sideways allowing for 11/2” reflective air space. Its a townhome so not wanting go through HOA crap to cut hole and install gable exhaust fan. I pulled the meshing from the roof vents also the circular aluminum piece for keeping critters out supposedly for unobstructed airflow. QUESTION BEING - should I install 1000cfm fan housed directly underneath vents which would end up leaving approx 3-6” from blades to flat top surface of 12” vent. Concerned about high airflow bouncing back and about how much would be escaping through the small louvered slits in the four 3” sidewalls of vent. Sure be better creating unobstructed pathway as in large vents like in operable gable fan vents. Perhaps using fan at slower cfm might work. Or lower fan assembly down lower and utilize flex ducking attached to bottom of vent. There happens to be two vents literally on opposing sides of ridge (which doesn’t have ridge venting.)There be a third vent located approx 8’ over. What if I were to mount fan approx 4-6’ lower than vent/s running air up through flex duct that could have a Y split allowing for the air flow out of two vents simultaneously? For many years I chosen to use my 30” heavy duty fan mounted in the attic cubby hole in upstairs hallway. It mostly seemed useless not cooling attic down at all. After a closer look at the vents prior to just removing the mesh and 3” aluminum band it’s a no wonder hey being so inefficient. Rather than changing vents to something like whirlybirds or better functioning units how could I best jerryrig the existing vents allowing for maximum airflow efficiency. Will most certainly appreciate any advice offered. thanks, Paul Hey trying to deal with existing couple louvered box vents in roof. Thanks for the video. I was having trouble finding a good place to start with my LT133’s missing bolts. This was helpful. For reference the 133 has three mounting bolts and they are indeed M8x1.25. I was missing all three which was causing all kinds of issues. Not sure if 8mm and 5/16x18 are that close and the eights just worked but that was my experience.
