I was playing around with a view that captured the front tire, then i put it on in reverse to record the guy behind me, this is just a small section of what i recorded.
Your not wrong lol, I gotta ride it on this 4 stroke, Ill have to replace the oil and plates more often, but that's routine maintenance anyways, just do it a little earlier than normal haha
I put a g2 throttle tamer on it and run it in the aggressive map and it’ll lug if you cover the clutch a lot, definitely not like a 2 stroke though, i recently put a flywheel weight on it and that helped a chunk as well. The suspension is to stiff for my kinda riding, it would do much better out in Arizona on your trails. I’m going to get it revalved soon so I’m hoping that’ll help. Hindsight I would have gotten another ktm lol, but it has been reliable and I haven’t been easy on it lol.
@@AboutaMileAdventures very awesome! Im rather new to vikes so feeling my way through on a crf250f but looking at gasgas ktm or husky 2 stroke next. 🤘🏻
@OdysseyOffroad can’t go wrong with any of them, in your part of town though a 350 dual sport model would be awesome to. The 2 strokes are great for knarly slower stuff, but aren’t as much fun if you are gonna hold 4/5/6 gear open for any amount of time. They really shine on the 1/2/3 gear terrain. The 350 is perfect middle ground. I had a 350xcfw, it was amazing, it was better than my xc300w in a lot of ways except hill climbs, 2 strokes are like a cheat code in hill climbs lol. They have so much more traction.
Thank you, New Zealand looks amazing as well, I love the Camping with AB channel where he camps there. I also enjoy the dual sport motorcycle videos of the country, and of course watching The Lord of the Rings :)
@@AboutaMileAdventures Rivers edge was ok. Very much warn in with tons of roots. The hill climbs are all rough. I think my favorite so far has been enoree.
Nice run dude! My first time out there was chasing a couple dudes on KTMs and it was a breeze. Going back alone and being more cautious was way tougher.
I just picked up a 2024 Rubicon 520 DCT ES/ESP Deluxe in Matte Navy Blue. I'm loving it so far, I wish I could make it to uwharrie before I move out of state (currently near Wilmington) but I doubt I will.
'Driving in the sand'? Do you drive a motorcycle where you come from? We ride a motorcycle. Just like we ride horses. We don't get on a horse and drive it.
I could have typed pilot, since the seat and handlebars are often called the cockpit lol, but yea, I see your point. I usually call it riding, just typing the title I just typed driving.
@@dogzero1 in some languages term drive is used for all vehicles, not just cars, also when you translate ride to these languages it can be only used for horses. Maybe English is not first language to video author so stop being a prick and enjoy video or bugger off.
I need to get out that way - looks really nice. I won’t do hard core off road, but packed dirt forest roads like this would be fine. Thanks for posting and thanks for the sub!
This is a shared trail system with no restrictions. We share the trails with sometimes hundreds of Jeeps and Toyotas a day, along with dirtbikes/quads/sxs. Heck even some deuce and a halfs come in every so often. So no, not on these trails they aren't, But they can absolutely rip up dirtbike and quad trails. Especially when folks put 37" tractor tires on them. I wish we had a 50" limit like some states. That would be awesome! Thank you for the comment btw.
I'm sure we will do one this coming up spring, Check out the "Adventure Touring in North Carolina" FB group and i'm sure they will have a post when its time.
