Seriously, if you don't fall in love with Kate Bush, you're not a man. She's so pure, so exquisite, a princess from an outer world who came down on earth to woo us, mere mortals.
She's not weird, crazy, a fairy, an elf, a princess, a recluse... She's a MUSICIAN, a songwriter, composer, PRODUCER.... It's 1979, she was 21 years, doing a live... It's 2024, she's 66 years old. Supposed you don't wait eagerly the Before the dawn DVD release. ...
Found this link relating to Kate's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It has an excellent video about 2023 Inductee Insights: Kate Bush. Video includes live concert snippets of some of her other songs ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4XPIp94lCVE.html
as a kid I had a disk of her 'best of', this wasn't even on it... and I'd say it's her 3rd best... pitty, I only know it for a month now... go figure...
Before watching this video, I couldn't conceive a better version of Kate Bush's Moving. And yet there is: Kate Bush's Moving performed on stage by Kate herself. Thanks for this gem.
Moving stranger, does it really matter? As long as you're not afraid to feel Touch me, hold me, how my open arms ache Try to fall for me How I'm moved, how you move me With your beauty's potency You give me life, please don't let me go You crush the lilly in my soul Moving liquid, yes, you are just as water You flow around all that comes in your way Don't think it over, it always takes you over And sets your spirits dancing How I'm moved, how you move me With your beauty's potency You give me life, please don't let me go You give me life, please don't let me go Oh, you give me life, please don't let me go You crush the lily in my soul (la-la-la-la-li-ly) Soul (la-la-la-la-li-ly) Soul (la-la-la-la-li-ly)
I first heard her album "The Dreaming"... I was hooked ! I started to listen back other work and I it was going better and better. Now in 2023 I heard my share of music, but Kate still remains lonely at the top ! Moving is my favorite song ! Enjoy!
One of my all time favourites. I remember playing this album as a 17 year old living over the butchers shop in Liverpool with my now wife when she was pregnant with our first child. 1982 and although we had nothing it was an incredibly magical time. We were at our poorest but we were happy. So many memories come to life with this song of friends and family who have passed away. The amazing Kate Bush! We called our 2nd daughter Kashka ☺️
There is a lot of footage of Kate singing live and her voice is superb. I understand that she scrapped as many if not more songs than she recorded. A genuine perfectionist but what a waste.
