Anxiety and motorcycles, its what I do!
Proud owner of a 2018 Indian Scout Bobber.
I found my love for motorcycles when I was just a little kid, my step father rode and would always take me for rides! Unfortunately I let my severe anxiety get in the way of me ever pursuing my dream of owning my own bike. In 2018 I discovered Brandon Bicasso's RU-vid channel. He had the Indian Scout Bobber and I fell in love. I went to the nearest Indian Dealership and was immediately sold, problem is I never rode a bike. So I set out to obtain my license I set my anxiety aside and took a few safety courses. Shortly after I received my motorcycle license and I found my one true passion. The point of this channel is going to be to share my experience of riding, over coming my anxiety that's always getting in the way, meeting new people, and having the time of my life with two wheel underneath me!
When you buy the 1” pair it comes with the 7/8. So if it’s labeled 1in then that’s the one you want it was come with 1 1 inch and 1 7/8. Very confusing lol but buy the 1in and you’ll be good.
I share the same passion you have with your scout. I just bought a mint 2019 bronze Scout Bobber with only 800 miles on it and I absolutely have a love affair with it! Same Vance n Hines slash cut pipes. Like you, I will never get rid of it! Enjoy, brother, and safe riding!
I live in Southern California and you can't get from point A to B without getting on the freeway, I'm regularly riding my Bobber 20 between 70-80 MPH. I have the small 10" tinted screen on my bike and I think it enhances the look, the way it sits just above the headlight cowl. It stands about the same height as my 10" mini apes. I still get the wind around my head, but it's not that bad, and the pressure on my torso is really reduced. Regarding the comfort, I also got the comfort + seat which helps a lot, but I also got the Fox Shocks from Indian. That made a huge difference. I go over dips and potholes now and I barely feel them. They added some extra travel as well on the back. I very rarely bottom out.
Here is what I would like to see.....make the bike fit the rider at "no cost". When you purchase a bike from Indian, I want the choice of bars (either the standard or the mini-apes), I want the choice of a seat (with various models and colors being available, including the 1920 floating seat) and I want the forward controls to be either fully extended or reduced reach. All of those things should not cost the rider additional money.
I rode the Scout at an Indian demo day and really liked the bike...as long as it had the mini-ape bars. Very fast, very nimble, and just fun to ride. Don't worry about not dragging pegs or running on the very outside of the tire. No need to be that aggressive.
Please, they should put a fuel gauge now. I'm tired of having to reset the kilometers every time I fill the tank. Sometimes I forgot to do it and I didn't know when I should take it again. And it makes me very angry that much cheaper and simpler motorcycles have this mechanism and our enormous Indian Scouts do not have it.
Little late for this video I have a 2023 scout bobber same exact issues you and many others have. It was unbearable to go over 65mph for me my son same bike seems to have no problem going 70/80 mph!? I bought the MS Cafe fairing because i felt it went well with the aggressive look of the bobber and it has helped a lot. Next purchase a better seat!
Man, really helped alot - I'm looking at these for my regular Indian Scout and I didn't know the throttle grip was just glued on there. It looked like one solid piece. So, this really cleared things up. I was on the ODI website looking at what's compatible, but it just listed the Touring TBW. Now, I can just order these and I don't mind that little gap. Thanks again!! great ride!!
Wow, this guy thinks Indian is watching his video. Lol. Plus the WHOLE point of having a cruiser is custom designed to your taste. Just go back to riding that jap bike you had before.
Hi. Great video! You pushed me over the edge to get one. I just came home with a white smoke chief bobber. Preowned with only 1100 miles on it and already fixed up exactly with the accessories that I would want to do myself. The only thing missing is a windshield. The wind is awful at 60-65 mph. I have looked a little bit online and I really don’t see anything other than what Indian produces. We all know that Indian charges an arm and a leg for their accessories. Do you have any recommendations or knowledge of windshields for the bike? I can’t get a replacement windshield because I don’t have the hardware. I saw that one company only produces replacement windshields. Any help that you may provide would very much be appreciated. Thank you.
That’s so awesome! Unfortunately I don’t have much information on windshields I’ve never looked into them! Hopefully someone in the comments can help you out better.
2023 and still needs better seat as standard, better shocks as standard, better headlight as standard and a fuel gauge. Who's the genius that decided a fuel gauge wasn't necessary???
That bike gave me the feeling that they set it up for someone else and / or it was a trade in that they took off parts that were swapped to another bike. Nice parts like the pipes or mirrors that went to another customer before you guys got to it.
Thanks for the video dude. One question. Did you have to order both the 7/8 and the 1 inch? Or does the 7/8 come with a 1 inch grip. I have the same exact bike as you.
Yeah it’s the Vance and Hines exhaust I don’t remember on the tires I can check when I get home though. I do know that I should’ve went way bigger in the back back it looks to skinny.
I had a two spinal surgeries!!! Rode dirt bikes as young man played basketball and did a lot if marshal arts! Paid for surgeries around 100k outside of states! After both lost 7 months for recovery. Nearly every second cruiser rider is in the same shitty condition because of this that my man is saying! Respect your spine, don’t be ape with ape bars guys, ride normal bile with good suspension
If you order accessories from indian when you biuld your bike do you pay for installation charges might be a dumb question but just wondering because I'm going to order a bike but if they charge installing fees I'll do it my self at home
Great video, I agree with the mirrors, I'd have looked at aftermarket ones and get the dealer to comp you on the price, I see 2022 and 2023 scouts with those mirrors sold everywhere, they weren't honest with you
@@cmatycycles8286 good to hear brother. Another RU-vidr I liked to watch Dadwithbike just passed so maybe I’m extra paranoid. Love your vids. Hope to see more soon.
I know that’s so heartbreaking! I appreciate that so much I’ll make more I love doing it, just do it as a hobby and I have a full time job and my two daughter’s they keep me very busy lol. I’ll definitely make more videos just can’t promise weekly uploads.
