I'm just trying to see where the button goes. Omg this was so much. I have a warranty on the controller. But my son wanted to clean the inside and now I have pieces. The sync button looks Like it just sits there loosely idk can someone post a link to just the sync button please if possible.
so when i try to play mario kart wii after a few seconds i lose control of my controller and it just says communication with the controller has been interrupted, is there a way to fix this?
Advice: Watch the whole video first before following step-by-step. I probably skipped something but didn't realize I needed spare parts. I took my controller apart, tried cleaning the contacts with isopropyl, turned out the real issue was a metal contact on the plastic film broke and came off when I was cleaning it; I know it was already bad because the controller still worked the same when I put it back together. I went into two different local games shops looking for replacement controllers, the second family-run shop had the spare parts I needed for $5 CDN (I also broke a trigger putting the controller back together). Now my controller works great again! Way better than the $40 I would've paid for another used controller. :) Thank you! I did mark my controller a bit with the flat-head screwdriver and had more trouble with the triggers than the video, but otherwise great!
I have continuity on all four wires, problem is I don't know what they all should read. Clock/SCL (yellow wire) 2.1 Ohms; Power/VDD (red wire) 0.3 Ohms; Data/SDA (green wire) 0.4 Ohms; Ground/GND (white wire) 3.0 Ohms. These readings jump around a bit but the red wire is the most difficult to get a reading for, most of the time I get OL. Nunchuck isn't detected on any wii remote I plug it into and the console doesn't recognize it either.
Thanks but title is missleading because you didn't show all methods to fix any problems. My controller have short circuit on big cap and Broadcom is heating up. What you could say about that ?
My controller's square button stopped working and I had its conductive film replaced. But the very next day my PS button stopped working and slowly most buttons stopped working. I had the conductive film replaced once again. I went good for about 4 months and then once again my PS button stopped working and now my Circle button has stopped working. Can you please help me
I do the same thing that you did but my controller still not working, before this my battery connector I check was completely fine but still not working for some how. I did use my voltmeter but there is no power that coming out from the battery after I plug into the connector. please DMs for furthermore talking about this problem
There is a cheaper solution. All you need is a sheet of paper, fold it to become a little thick, fold it about four or five times, cut it to fit the place between the R2 or L2 chip and the plastic, place the paper in that place, and that's it.
If any of your buttons fail or start spamming out of nowhere, just replace the batteries. Try this before opening the controller it might solve your problem.
