That came out really well, I love the UV idea and I’m definitely going to try that out!! Do you think the UV pen would work well on wood? I’ve just attempted my first staff (just realised a video on my channel if you’re interested) and I’ll be trying out more but mostly using wood. Great video!!
Thank you. Awesome you made a video of your staff I might take a look at your video 😊. Yes the pen wood on wood, however depending on how you use it you might need to reapply it after a year or two. I have found that mine fade over time, but have also had it out in strong sun, rain and winter.
Its a mix of a lot of things, mainly time issues and have gotten involved a lot in the local+international Larps, so not much time for editing anymore. Have a harddisk with projects that have never been published + want to redo some old videos, so do plan on uploading again. Just can't say when it will be 😅
Vollsanger…. the man, the myth, the legend. There is a lot more to him than just his entertaining music, hidden depths and fighting skills. His age reflects the years he has spent sharpening his skills. Iain is even more epic than Vollsanger as you have mentioned. He has a heart of gold, as does his wife!
Also hi from Australia 🇦🇺... I have designed some great looking mushroom and vines with AI. I want to make parchment paper again for this so i can print it out...
Parchment paper from craft stores are a little more expensive 💸📜💸 😊 but if you plant to print on it gives so much better results. ... Real parchment is however where originally made from animal skin, and is not easy to come by. For that I would recommend looking into "Leather paper" or "leather faux". Again it's expensive but it can handle weather and don't tear easily.
The wild thing for me was this week I wondered what happened to LarpForge and today we get a return. It's great to see you return and a good video to return with.
It's not showing very well, but I sat outside when working with the horn. Its a lot easier, but would still recommend that you wear eye gear and a mouth/noise cover :)
I grew up in the piney woods of South Alabama, where dogs horns in the night and baying dogs was commonplace. The old-timers didn't just blow their horns, they blew signals that dog and man alike recognized and responded to. In my family, dog horns were passed down to the next generation with each holder adding his/her initials. My maternal grandfather took delight in waking the neighbors with his horn in the wee hours of the night when he was into the corn liquor.
I do this for fantasy maps. First I sketch out the map on plain white drawing paper with pencil. Then I stain and dry it in coffee or tea. Finally I’ll go over the pencil lines with either black or dark brown inks. The results look like really old maps. 👍
They are all as when bought in the store. The second ones piston is made of plastic. And upon having had these for years... and had the more expensive version. I must admit the more expensive one from LARP stores are more value for the price, plus they are also way more sturdy. However if you allready have one of the toy versions, they are a good start, if one is short on money. I have personally used the smaller ones a lot a lot in LARPs just for show, since they fit easily into any pocket.🙂
A mix of helping out in the local LARP envioment, work and covid19. Have kind of tapped me out of energy lately. But I am getting there slowly 😅 Have tried to put togeather a few videos, but they don't quit hit the mark. But thank you for asking😁
Cool idea, could maybe use some more iteration on how exactly the paint job is applied, so that it doesn't look like your ears are infected by dark forces or something xD Then again, this video is from 2012, so this comment is probably unneccessary, but I just wanted to give you some props for the idea.
Maybe not music, as such, but I can absolutely agree on ambient noise like you say with the dripping cave sounds. I can also imagine the crackling of fire and the ticking of hot metal that you'd expect from a wood burning stove would be a versatile sound.
Well, I have certainly been in a bit of a hiatus and have been so swamped with changing employers and dealing with life, I totally didn't engage with this! Thank you so much for the shout out. I have been busily writing content in the background and prepping my space (in between moving houses, twice!) and I will be releasing more content shortly, including the getting into character! That is actually my episode next to be released. Thank you so much for the shout out, I'm super honoured <3
