That won't last long. I use foam floor tiles from harbor freight stacked. They work great and I get 6 tiles for $8 that are 2x25 inches x 3/4 of an inch. Cut them in half and stack them. I have shot 1000 arrows through so far and no pass throughs.

Hi Tim, Thanks for watching my video! This one works significantly better than the other one i posted, this fabric is a little more of a windbreaker material, going through thorns it doesn't catch too much but where it does, depending on the force of impact onto the thorn it has torn into one of the leaves, but hasn't torn apart the actual suit itself yet. still wearable!

I just bought one at a show for $45. I honestly don't think it's a bad deal. It weighs good, has a full tang. Holds an edge and looks great. There's no way in heck anyone is buying the best steel a knife can be made from for this price lol. I bought it because I thought they were American made. One day I'll make it up to a half face blade but sheesh, those are $600+

You should consider reaching out to them, they are fairly responsive in fact i think one of the owners or team members commented on this video. You should email them and tell them about your experience maybe they will give you a discount on a new knife, i am still very happy with mine. And it looks like other people who posted on this video have had good experiences with them as well. Sorry to hear you have not, give it a try send them an email!

What's the accuracy like at a hundred yards and five hundred
@confactor18
@confactor18 2 года назад
Hey Jonathan! Thanks for checking out the video and commenting. I actually ended up giving this range finder away to a family member and i held onto another one. I had no complaints or issues with the Laserworks rangefinder, i just preferred a camo design that came standard on another one. To answer your question i am really not sure what the accuracy is on this. You can check the manufacturers website or amazon if i recall i think they claim its accurate within 3yards but you'll have to verify that. I should have measured the distance to each of those points with a measuring wheel to get a benchmark distance before hitting it with the rangefinder.. I didn't think of that when making the video, but even if i did i, unfortunately, wouldn't have been able to test out 100 yards in my backyard or block as i didn't have the space. You should check out the other video i have that compares a few of the rangefinders i came across at the time.

Maybe you didn't read the instructions or you didn't get any. The deal with these fans is you need a hot side and a cold side. Your placement of the fans right up next to the chimney was improper. Proper placement would be facing from the BACK of the furnace (cold) away from the chimney, facing toward the area being heated (front/hot). You may want to make another video using THAT placement, as it will be more beneficial to all involved. The fact that these are made for wood burning stoves. Stand alone, away from the wall type of stove, with a hot side and a cooler side, and not a furnace. Do a search on how these actually work.
@confactor18
@confactor18 3 года назад
Hi thanks for checking out my video! *I think the Galafire did have instructions, but if you cant tell by the video i only had one place to put them on that particular furnace.* the current stove I have it on now is a small country hearth wood burning stove and the one fan still excels to this day, in fact, the Galafire is the only fan that works anymore. The Youlanda fan stopped working not too long after having it on top of the new wood-burning stove that I installed. The purpose of my video was really just to compare the two brands/fans and see how they worked. If you ever plan on buying one id recommend you consider the Galafire brand over the other. Going forward ill be sure to place it near the back of the stove when it's in use!! Thanks again!!

Thanks for checking my video Jon!! That's really cool you got to meet the family over at Titan International, I've had the opportunity to speak to them once or twice prior to receiving my knife and they were very friendly informative people but i never met them in person. If i ever did id probably get the knife autographed and id keep it stored in a frame for safe keeping!! I still keep this exact knife in my hunting vest today, though I've only used it once during hunting it is easily the nicest looking knife i have I am very happy with it. Thanks again for dropping the comment hope you have a great week!!

How many of those targets do you think it would take to stop the arrow from going threw them at all @ 20 yrds I'm asking cause I shoot 20 yrds in my basement. So I don't want the arrows hitting the wall behind the target
@confactor18
@confactor18 3 года назад
This is a great question and i honestly should have thought of doing this when i had made this video as i did have two but from two separate manufacturers. I can say with enough confidence that if you had two of these taped together and a small buffer like a pillow or something between the target and wall it wont hit the wall. I think that with two of these foam targets one behind the other shooting with the best arrows and 60lb draw weight the arrow would likely still protrude through the back target, but my guess would be it would only go through maybe an inch or less. But again i havent tested this myself to verify thats just an educated guess. I would advise against doing it inside though its probably the furthest thing from safe and BS happens, its possible you'll end up misfiring or having a fluke shot at least once and throw an arrow into the floor or wall. Anything can happen so just be safe and expect the inevitable! Hopefully my answer helped best of luck with your target set up!!

Tree makes a great job stopping the arrows
@confactor18
@confactor18 3 года назад
It definitely does. I don't have experience shooting at trees, i heard that it could damage the arrow. And arrows aren't really cheap (for me at least) but if you aren't concerned with that then a tree or even a large thin piece of plywood would do the job id think!

@@confactor18 . Yes those are the ones. Walmart sells them for $13 CAD for a pack of 4. If you buy 2 packs that will make a target 2 feet by 2 feet by 4 inches. I tested a small piece 4 tiles thick(2 inches) and the arrows stuck out about 1-2 inches in the back from about 8 meters with my 35 lb recurve. So 8 tiles thick should do(4 inches). Theres a video on youtube where a guy makes targets like this but he uses 12 tiles thick.

I have a tradition ceramic gas log fireplace. Can I set a fan like this on the hearth to pull some heat into the room?
@confactor18
@confactor18 3 года назад
Hi Michael!! So i actually got these in anticipation of my wood burning stove install. I literally just finished the fireplace install last week and i popped these babies out to put on top of the fire place and they are still working really great!! Couple things, if you are asking if you can set the fan down on the hearth stone, meaning the stone that the fireplace sits on, i would assume it would not get hot enough for the fan to get moving. You should check out the amazon page for the fan you are looking at, they will have details regarding the minimum temperature needed to get the fan started, called the running temp.. I would refer to that number and either buy and return an infrared laser temp. scanner to see if its hot enough for the fan to operate. Or take a gamble and order one, worse comes to worse it doesnt work and you just return it! Hope that helped, good luck!

lol cool! its a decent suit for the price i still use it today. After using both this one, and the other one i have a video on, the other one catches onto sticks and thorns less, this one picks up a lot of debris. but if you walk through a thorn bush and either of them get snagged really bad material rips instead of pulling free. TOTALLY worth the price though and they are both still in pretty good condition where i would but them both again when they get completely destroyed.

Hi just want to ask if by any chance this high density foam will work as a target for card throwing? Do you think the cards will stick to itinstead of just bouncing? Thanks in advance.
@confactor18
@confactor18 4 года назад
Hey! Thats a great question.. if you are throwing playing cards, i know how to throw a card and i can spin it pretty far and hard but i dont think the card can get enough force to actually puncture and stick into this foam.. if your talking about metal cards or maybe even sharp plastic cards maybe.. ninja stars definitely. i think the foam is too dense for normal deck of playing cards from a casino.
