Undoubtedly the strongest, purest voice The Three Degrees were ever graced with. Richard Barret made a huge mistake by firing her...(no offense, Helen!)
Goodness Sheila Ferguson ❤... those puppies are sitting perfectly in that dress… Absolutely gorgeous... I'm sure all the men in the audience were in love. Three goddesses with great talent. Fayette is super soprano... singing all up and down the scale OMG. VALERIE is gorgeous looking like a black Farrah Fawcett and singing for the Gods ❤❤❤
The 3 Degrees were famous in Britain even before The French Connection and a favorite of King Charles ! Unlike The Supremes they shared solos and had a great harmony ! They were The sound of Philadelphia with hits like Dirty old man , When will I see you again and Everybody gets to go to the moon !
Interesting! I've heard of them but wasn't really familiar with anything they've done. They sounded almost as if it was one vocalist who was triple-tracked. Very pleasant!
They were appreciated around the world more then any other group at the time. They are amazing. Love them. And they always had the best bands backing them up.
These three ladies were closest to my favorite all time girl group The Ronettes, reminded me so much of them the first time I heard them. Love them. Never got the recognition in the US they deserved. Like so many great American artists, had to go to other countries to receive their due !
"And after all the loves of my life, and after all the loves of my life, you'll still be the one..." RIP, Tony Cannone, the greatest and only love of my life.
