@michaelwolf6554 I only went down one slide in the family zone, and it was cool. There were dump buckets there too, which was nice. My niece and nephew liked the slides, and my brother really liked the family slides. I really liked the wave pool. But, we all agreed it's been a while since we've been to Atlantis, and maybe we should splurge next time and go back.
I like to use Starbucks gift cards on my cruises when the ship has a Starbucks onboard. You can't use your rewards, but you can use gift cards. Also, shout out to #SheSoCraftDee for inspiring the dining table center piece. I used Dollar Tree wooden bins and flowers, JoAnn Fabrics vines, Dollar General glass candles and some packing material from a delivery box.

Good info, thanks. I’m considering the auto train soon but the roommette price just seems too much when I can fly and then rent a car. So I’m interested in the vids that mention coach. I’m glad you showed the bathroom choices for coach. I think I’ve heard others mention them in vids but no one has shown them. How was your nights sleep in coach? Did you walk around on the train at all? Is there a place for coach to sit besides their assigned seat? How was the Wifi in your car? Was there a place to buy snacks or any hot food onboard in case I can’t walk to the Jersey Mike’s?
Thank you, I'm glad you found the information helpful. My nights sleep was okay, but I'm a shortie. My husband is tall and he felt like a pretzel by morning. We normally turn our jackets around and wear the hood over our faces to block out any light. I only walked to the bathroom and to the dining car. You may be able to sit in the dining car. Amtrak Wifi is good. We watched a movie on RU-vid last time we went. I bought Lovebuds so we could listen to the movie together. Yes, there's a cafe in the dining car where you can buy snacks and hot food, but the food is pricey.
When I started working for Amtrak as an Onboard Service Attendant I was hired to work AutoTrain and Dinner was included in the cost of the ticket for both sleeping car and coach passengers. I worked AutoTrain October 95-April 97
I don't know why Amtrak stopped including Dinner for Auto Train coach passengers, probably a cost cutting measure, but we loved it. I wish they would bring it back!
First time that we've seen an aft cabin on any MSC ship. MSC is big over here and all over Europe, and growing in popularity in the US. Famous for its low cost cruise fares, so accommodation can seem small to accommodate more passengers onboard. Cool tour vlog. That lock on the balcony door is a great safety feature if you have young children.
Yeah, we've sailed on 3 MSC ships with that similar cabin layout and design and always found them to be comfortable and adequately sized rooms@@phoenixbluedesignstravel6403
This was totally fascinating. Was not aware that this service existed in the US, and just assumed you guys flew or drove or rode trains as passengers, but to be able to take your car is such a great idea. Here in the UK, we can put cars on a train service that travels UNDER the English channel to France.......also a cool idea 🚗🚅
Oh cool, yes totally. We have seen on RU-vid how some Americans and Canadians have flown into London for a couple of days there, then travel down to Southampton(not far from London) to pick up a cruise ship that will sail to France, then the coast of Portugal (for Lisbon) then sail into the Mediterranean for Italy, Sicily, South of France Etc. Just a thought. @@phoenixbluedesignstravel6403
Hi, No, I just happened to get an email from Royal Caribbean about savings on the Cruise Planner, one of many that I got. When I went into the Cruise Planner I couldn't believe the price, so I booked it right away. I couldn't get this at about $4 ea. for my last cruise though.
We got a timeshare review special, so we paid about $250 in total including resort fees for 3 nights. We ended up not having to sit through the presentation. But you can book a stay here without a timeshare presentation. It was about 30 minutes from Kalahari.
I love the backpack. I wore it as a backpack, but when it's stuffed it's huge. I felt like a teenage mutant ninja turtle. 😂 So, this last trip I also just used it like luggage. I used the top handle to load it up in the truck and to take it out and check it with the porters. It's really versatile.
Sadly, something happened to your audio. I've noticed a trend in that area where the resulting audio is too loud in one segment and then too quiet in another.
Yes, it happens when I use my camera sometimes and when I do voice overs. I'm still trying to get the volumes set correctly. I'll get it right one day.
My girlfriend and I are trying to do this the next time we go down to Orlando from NY. I want to play golf down there but would rather not deal with having to schlep my gear on a plane if I can help it since its an extra checked bag. I can deal with a 5 hour drive to VA, and $230 round trip per person is way cheaper than flying with checked bags PLUS car rental.
Yes, we want to take the train down to Orlando again, probably the Auto Train so we have our vehicle. Taxis were expensive last time we went, so we ended up using Lyft. We want to visit Discovery Cove and check out Universal's Epic Universe when it opens. 👍🏾
Yes, but I believe you can book here without a timeshare presentation. I think you just pay more. If I remember correctly, I think it's $199 plus resort fees of about $65 for 3 nights. That might have been a special as well. Check Exploria Resorts website.
No, the 1 Bedroom Suite is not the same, but we were reserved for a 1 Bedroom Suite and they gave us the 2 Bedroom Condo when we got there. So, you may get upgraded. To see what the 1 Bedroom looks like check out The World Is All Yours's video "Fall Poconos Mountain Trip! | Exploria Resorts Timeshare Stay." Hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did!
@@jazmainebrown4262 You may be right. I can't tell the difference between the studios and the one bedrooms and the one bedroom description doesn't have any pictures. But, the studios look nice too. The renovations look great, but that normally means prices go up.
Bought one today. Put it together. So excited for it to pick up my acorns. Total bust. Picked up a few leaves, some dead grass. Only worked if you were running behind it so the brushes turn really fast. Since I walk with a cane, it's worthless to me. So very very disappointed. Taking it back to the store.
So sorry it didn't work for you Rose. I had to adjust the height of the brushes using the knob on the front until it started to pick up my grass and leaves, even thatched leaves.
@@phoenixbluedesignstravel6403 I'll try that before I return it .. I so need it to work. Acorns need to be picked up & at my age, bending over to pick them up is out of the question
Hi Rose, I'm not sure because I don't have any acorns in my lawn. But, I'm thinking it should work because it's good at picking up piles of leaves that have thatched into the lawn. That makes me think the plastic bristles might be strong enough to pick-up the acorns.
@@phoenixbluedesignstravel6403 haha I just got home from my 2nd amtrak ride and on this last trip the person who went to the bathroom before me did not flush. I am guessing she couldn't find the button 🤣
I'm not sure. I don't have any pine needles in my yard, but I'm thinking that it would be able to pick them up. You might have to go over the area a few times though in different directions. Hope this helps.
It's definitely not a miserable experience, especially if you're able to book seats on the lower level. The lower level seats are normally reserved for those that need handicap accessibility, but you may still be able to get a seat. The coach seats recline way more than airline seats, but I wish they reclined even more. However, it's way better than the brutal drive down to Florida and I don't like the inconvenience of flying. Hope this helps you with your travel plans. Also, I think Amtrak has a flash sale going. I saw the sale information this past weekend though.
@@phoenixbluedesignstravel6403 thanks for your reply! I am going with my wife and son I’m wheelchair dependent (cerebral palsy ) So we’ll be on the lower level hopefully it’ll be a good trip sounds like at least something different and fun!Have a great weekend.
@@mattm1686 I just did the trip last week for the fist time and really enjoyed it overall. One important thing is to try to dress such that you don't get hot out cold. My husband was too warm the whole time. Meanwhile I used a blanket. I slept better than he did. In my train the bathrooms remained fairly clean and people respected that for one another but that will vary by luck i highly encourage you to bring a little pillow. I had a neck pillow and it wasn't quite right for me. A small pillow would have actually been better. Just my opinion. And bring a lunch bag or small cooler with food because you'll be hungry..
@@phoenixbluedesignstravel6403 We are worried out sleeping with masks on. We have never done this before and it sounds like they are very strict on that. What was your experience with sleeping with a mask? any tips? Thanks for the great video.
Thank you, 95SLE! I learn more and more with each video, so I hope to increase the quality of my videos and how I'm presenting the information with each one. Take care and enjoy your travels.
Hi Tom 45, Well, I don't think it's a dethatcher, but I use it along with a metal Bow Rake in packed down leafy areas to dethatch my lawn. The Earthwise SweepIt works really well on packed down leaves if you go over it several times. Hope this helps you.
We started doing the auto train in 1999 when we move to Miami, we had a roomette that and later times 7 since than a bedroom, I thought that coach all ways had to pay seperate for there dinner. When we started they had cheese and wine tasting back in the days.
Hi Matt Brewster, No, they didn't say whether this was temporary due to COVID or not. Hopefully, it is, but I did enjoy my Jersey Mike's. 😂 There's a shopping center with restaurants in walking distance of the Lorton, VA Station and one about 15 minutes from the Sanford, FL Station.
Hi Daniel Just Daniel, My sister-in-law peeped me to the auto train. I love it. It's so convenient. Only Coach passengers on the Auto Train got their meals included. But, that's no longer the case now.😫😂
Thank you phoenixBlue for posting your video we are sailing symphony of the seas on 25 September and we are wanting to know how many are aboard and how you guys feel about less people. Subscribed and I also have a channel (Sarasota Tim) I will be posting videos of our cruise once we return to Miami October 2. You guys have lots of fun and eat all ya want! Haha 😎
Sorry, Sarasota Tim. I just saw your comment. You've probably just came back from your cruise. 😂 We liked not having lines for the elevator and we were actually able to get in the pool in the Solarium. Unfortunately, there were still too many people to get in the main pool comfortable. I still think I like more people though. Thank you for suscribing and I'll look for your channel and subscribe. Take care and I hope you had an awesome vacation! 😎
We’ve booked this cabin for October 15, 2022 out of Miami with ports of call in Labadee, Haiti; La Romana, Dominican Republic; Willemstad, Curaçao; Oranjestad, Aruba and two days at sea return to Miami. GREAT itinerary… can’t wait!
Have fun! I really liked the balcony. I can't wait to get back to Curacao and Aruba. The ports of call were changed on our recent cruise, so no Curacao or Aruba again, yet. :-)
The website address for the hotel is www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hotels/us/en/baltimore/balwb/hoteldetail?cm_mmc=GoogleMaps-_-HI-_-US-_-BALWB. The address is 105 W. Fayette Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
You use this after mowing your lawn if your mower doesn't have a bag attachment. The attached mower bag is probably the best to have, but if you don't have that this is the next best thing in my opinion.
Hi, No I didn't notice a crew smoking area under the balcony. If I remember correctly I believe part of the ships structure was under the balcony, so I didn't notice anything below. I could hear music from the upper decks on the balcony, but not inside the cabin and it was faint.
Very informative video! How is the drain from the bathroom, to prevent water from going into the cabin? Is this cabin possible to reserve if you are not handicapped but just hates the bathtub and prever a shower only bath?
The drain in the bathroom is really good. You'll just have to put towels down on the bathroom floor for any splashes and wet feet. No water gets into the cabin living space at all. Sorry, but I believe someone in your party is supposed to be handicap in order to book the cabin. I hope this helps.
