I am unable to see any clear images in my mind...they stay for a split second and dissapear and become distorted....i cannot visualize scenes or video scenes...pls can you help me to fix this problem
Usually, that means you're thinking very fast and you're subconscious mind is running the show. Meditation can help. It helps you to become more consciously aware of your thoughts. Another thing you could try would be simply noticing your thoughts as they go by. Sit and notice every thought that goes through your mind in 30-60 seconds and see how each one leads to the next one. It may seem hard at first, but it gets easier with practice. It's simply becoming more conscious and aware of how your mind works. Once you can notice the thoughts and how you think, it becomes easier to slow them down and direct your thoughts the way you want them. Also, notice the pictures that flash through your mind with your thoughts. As you slow down and become more aware of your thoughts, it's easier to see how you visualize things. Most people don't visualize images like a movie screen at first. It's usually more like dream images. As you train your mind to notice your thoughts and direct your thoughts, you can start to make the images clearer, but it takes practice. Good luck!
