When you said french engineering I instantly knew you know nothing about the car. It was made in the Czech republic and is identical apart from literally the badges to the aygo and the 107. I bet if you reviewed the aygo you would talk about Japanese engineering even though it is the same car. Nothing about the car is french at all.

How many people do you think there are in the UK? The 1.0 is also a potential nightmare. It’s called the “eco boom” for a reason.

Bought my daughter 1.0 yaris with same krfe1 engine in this. Bought at19k now on 90+ nothing but service items and a back box. She’s been to france/ Holland and Spain and all over uk. Yaris is true 5 seater. Does 60 mpg on a run. Cruises at 70 no problem. Enough car for most if anyone serious about emissions. Economical in every way, metal, emissions, tyres, longevity. Awesome vehicles for modern living. Shite luggage but how many times do you need it. Get a roof box or tow bar for occasional use. Very simple diy too. All the service bits and coolant, water pump etc easy. Timing chain. Map sensor and emission control easily cleaned

Did not have time in video to mention the 1.0 engine’s issues, as I understand it, they are not quite as unreliable as the name ecoboom may suggest but it is definitely something to consider!! The 1.25 is a more reliable engine for sure

although a cheap solution and the definite Achilles heel the stick and the gear - box is not as bad as you' ve said, mine first broke at 58 K Km, but all in all this small Toyota iteration is a good, reliable small car, and because it weights only 830 Kg the small rusty engine still gives it a rather peppy character, mine had electric windows, AC and a CD player and for less than 8 K Euros was a great city car !

Got the 125 bhp Titanium, 1.0 ecoboost. I've had it 8 years, never missed a beat. Cost me nothing apart from servicing, tyres and a new set of front brake discs. Built in Cologne, you can tell where they were built by the VIN no. German precision. I might change it for something a bit newer soon, but I'll be very reluctant. Best handling car I've ever driven, and I've had my fair share.

Truth be told is that the Citroen c1 would be perfect for 50% of drivers in the UK. I’ve got a Suzuki Celerio and after over 30 years of driving and having numerous numbers of cars large and small I would say that it is my favourite car that I’ve owned for being an honest economical car and it literally costs me peanuts to run.

I had a peogeot 107 and absolutely loved it . I have the Suzuki celereo now, which is a great, simple car - spacious, frugal, cheap to own and run . I preferred that character of my 107 though and it's road manners 😊

@@nevs1992 i heard a few complaints about the wet belt going bust but that's also mainly from people that don't regularly have their oil changed or put the wrong oil in because they think it will be fine .i only personally know from one person that the belt snapped but she never changed had her oil changed in i think in over 2 years it was a wonder that it ran at all and that the oil pump didn't get clogged up but yes if something goes wrong your pockets will be emptied to get that fixed 😅
