I am a Knight of Columbus too. For 22 years and counting. The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 specifically as a fraternal benefit society providing life insurance because at the time, in many parts of the U S, Catholics were denounced as not real Americans because they were "beholden to a foreign power" referring to the pope. Nativism was a growing cancer in American society. In Connecticut, and other places perhaps, Catholics were not allowed to own property. Many Catholic immigrants worked in mines. When the breadwinner of the family died, the State took over those families and they became wards of the government. Insurance gave these families some peace of mind as well as support. The four pillars of the Knights are charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. I would submit that charity is most important because it is the foundation of all else. The K of C supports dozens of charitable causes and we will continue to do so. Yes, we take a stand against moral evils and will not back down.

I really enjoyed hearing the dialogue from two educated Priests who are far more versed in Theology than me discuss this. Would love to hear more. I too am troubled by these still very young and tormented souls that are chemically and surgically being butchered by science. Science has the capacity to discover and accomplish many beautiful things. If one employs scientific inquiry with a beneficent intent, it actually can be used to prove God's creation and grow closer to Him. In a mortal framework, to understand how things come to be is in my opinion growing closer to God. Unfortunately, many try to use science to denounce God. That pride and envy is so dangerous to humanity. I am a critical care physician, and I have had to care for many transgenders of late. I have yet to care for one that isn't terribly tormented. Often times I am meeting them after efforts to take their own lives so they can "end" their misery. And never in my 20+ year career have I ever seen as many people addicted to, overdosing from, and attempting/committing suicide by using illegal drugs. The very foundation for a future is summarily being destroyed and I just do not understand how people can be so blind to that reality. Although, there is the great lying and deceiver we have in satan that completes the mortal condition of free will.

ABP Schneider here says we can attend their masses if there are no other TLMs in the area. others have said we can attend if there are no other catholic masses around. my archdiocese (one of the largest in the US) says they are in schism so invalid. Schneider says they're not in schism. why is this so confusing???
