@@chriswilcox8977 Removing the social links from the header - good tip. Too much of a distraction, potentially. And generally keeping a small amount of items in the header/main nav. Also, it was striking how similar the text was across the sites - which just goes to show the value of getting some unique content written, and writing for people rather than Uncle Google. Then the Ubersuggest stuff where the R&A in particular had that huge number for flight delays, but nothing obvious to direct people to it. Already got me thinking about holes in my own SEO strategy. Would you recommend Ubersuggest, or are there other tools you prefer?

The benefits of getting unique content written. Quite striking how similar all the content was. Hi, in their latest version could you please whether they has added credit card option. in your video it shows only paypal right.. don't they have credit card payment gateways? how can we facilitate users to pay from credit cards
They support many more payment options now. I mostly use Stripe which accepts card payments, though others are also available plus you can write your own plugins too.
@@chriswilcox8977 thanks for the reply. do we have to pay stripe seperatly when we are using them in our websites? when we connect stripe directly to a website normally they charge a setup fee i think..and a fee for every transaction.
The header is disappeared from the helix template settings. I can see the header but no matter which style i select it is not reflecting. Do i have to make changes in joomla backend ?

Hi Chris, can you help me? What if it fails to restore? (Unable to connect to the Database: SESSION variable 'max_allowed_packet' is read-only. Use SET GLOBAL to assign the value). I've already changed the 'max_allowed_packet' parameter in /etc/mysql/mysql.conf.d/mysqld.cnf, I've also used "mysql> SET GLOBAL max_allowed_packet=536870912;" and I still couldn't solve it. I don't think anyone has gone through this, there is no tutorial for this problem. Thanks for sharing. Excuse my spelling errors ... translator.😔
Thx, nice video. Since the GDPR I serve the fonts direct from the server. So no link to Google anymore for privacy reasons. Quite handy to save all your custom css files in one place. I always have to grap them from a previous build or use the inspector each time to tweak it. Keeping it all in one place works faster.

Maybe you can help me with a minor question: The margin between the "header bar" (Where your LighBulbLogo is) and the text in the main body is quite big. I hope you understand what I mean. So the text in my main body is quite low, leaving quite a space above it towards the bar. I'm unable to get it higher up... Tnx Arjan

Akeeba is not bad software. But support is really horrible; Nicholas loves insulting people asking for help. It's not just my opinion and I don't know the reason, but you can actually google support tickets with insults in them instead of solutions ;) A lot of results in google. So as long as everything is working fine, this software is good and does decent job. But when something is not working as it should, do not expect help
i need to know if a field can change a field from another table of joomla, example, one form with all fields of table users joomla,, can RSforms change users or anothe component?
You’d need to look at their documentation- you can add custom scripts and more to the forms, so I suspect that may well be possible. I have some forms that change or add Joomla user groups on submission for example.

The warptheme addons look great. Only a few question: Will they stay to work with all SPPB future updates? Is it for SPPB 3 or 4? I still don't work with SPPB 4. Still too many issues. And when warptheme stops? It's a 3th party provider, they need to keep up with updating or is it all within the SPPB code so it will continue to work?
I’m so glad I’ve found your video! Spent most of yesterday afternoon (admittedly, outside in the sun with my laptop, as we had our first glorious day of sunshine in the UK 😂), trying to get my site to restore. Now I know what I was doing wrong and it should be done by the time I’ve drunk my first coffee 😊 Have you ever had to change a domain name for a Joomla site? I have tried to follow the process and that’s what messed up my site in the first place. Process involved amending config.php, something to do with SQL, dropping the tablets then importing the SQL file back in again (can’t quite remember, but I have slept since!). It kept giving me redirect errors after I had completed it 🙄 Anyway, I’ll try following your steps for the restore and I should be back to where I was yesterday afternoon and ready to try and rename the site again. That’s great! Moving domains is usually easy, though I’ve only ever used Akeeba to do that as it handles any file changes for you and all the database importing to the new database. Much easier than manual 🙂
not able to install helix ultimate. showing : JInstaller: :Install: Can't find Joomla XML setup file. The Joomla package cannot be installed through the Extension Manager. Please use the Joomla! Update component to update Joomla. whereas i am using joomla 4.0.6

About 10 Registration fields contains all the types ( drop down, radio, normal text field)- ( data validation required for all the fields) 2. Multiple document submission ( Dimensions & Size of the file to be restricted) 3. Before final submission, a user needs to be given a pop- up message displaying all the information filled in (preview)/ or go back and edit option. 4. After final submission of the registration page, the information submitted to the user needs to be displayed for their reference. 5. A good backend control to retrieve and segregate the application records for back-end reference. 6. A captcha on the registration page.
Hi and thanks for the watch and question :) I've not done all of those myself, however you may want to go and check the RS Joomla website for more info. 1) Yes, should be fine, though not sure if it will hold those fields against a user. 2) File size can be restricted, not aware of dimension restrictions (both may actually conflict anyhow). 3) Maybe not a popup, but you can pass form data to a second page so that could be a way to do it. 4) Again, not done this, but I think there are ways to pass data on to other form pages. 5) It records all submissions, you can export the data to CSV/Excel or view a submission online - for memory, you can sort and search the results within some reason. 6) Yes, it supports Google ReCaptcha.
Replay viewer. I really appreciate your in-depth look at SP Page builder. Your explaining the details of the settings is very helpful. I am hopeful that you will keep these updated as new versions come out. I am also hoping you can take a deeper look at the add-ons, blocks, and templates. I have been developing with Joomla since it forked from Mombo in the 2000s and just recently switched to using SP Pagebuilder. I think it is the best in its class.

Joomla 4 is good to go, PB4 isn’t, though PB3 is compatible, I’d generally recommend the Helix Ultimate Joomla 4 QuickStart pack for a new site with both to be used.
I think it will be this year, though as it's just at Alpha 2 stage now, it will be a while away. I believe they will be supporting v3 for a further 3 years.
Very similar to the now unsupported Asteroid framework. I hope it improves on the Astroid framework (not supported anymore) mega menu as it does not allow many child menus My site has about 1200 menu items and on some down to the 4th child

I uploaded Helix Ultimate and while not eve set as default it changed the default settings Had to go to a backuo to clear the mess Helix is not even close to the unsupported Astroid framework .Mega menu is a useless item. Cannot manage it properly in Helix. Helix Ultimate not recommended Will stick it out with my Astroid site until someone can develop a useful template system
