I am tmwilliamlin168, a competitive programmer, a sophomore at MIT into startups, and I make random videos IOI 2020 Winner Codeforces Max Rating 2931 (International Grandmaster) CodeChef Max Rating 2916 (7 stars)
Lin, I watch your videos and I have to say that I am impressed by your performance and the overall picture of you just thinking, writing and getting results. The first time I found your channel I was shoked, confused, amazed and at the same a tiny touch demotivated, because of the impression you struck to everybody by your performance. I remember just laughing at the comments which were just circling around your coding! :D I got to think I would never reach even a fraction of your level, but after a while, I got deep into learning computer science and now when I come back to watch one of the first videos that found, I see that I'm getting a considerable chunk of what you type. I'm glad that changed and that tention in me is gone. From now on I would consider working on my speed for solving problems, because I generally work quite slow, which is exceptionally bad in this field. I just want to thank you that you once just decided to record yourself solving some problems. You helped me not giving up on the thing that I enjoy doing, getting me past that "beginner" stage that I was stuck on. I hope you are doing great! Keep up the good videos when you have got the time! Peace! <3
I have nightmares from google hash code. Never again... it spoils the fun of programming. Competitive programming destroys your self-esteem, it isn't worth it. And all google and other companies want, is to f@ck you over with insane job requirements once you proven to be one of the best problem solvers and make you a job proposition. If you are that smart do something on your own, do not work for these @ssholees even if they pay you a lot.
He had read the question before a few times; then started recording and acted as if he never read the question and took him only 10 seconds to understand the question. ok kid, you're cool af, we get it.
jumped here from scott wu's google kickstart round B winning code, safe to say i wil question my existence while literal machines like exist and im here doing easy problems on leet LKMAOOOOO
This might be a weird question but I was thinking of trying out for the IOI soon and I have been training and studying solely in Java until I recently saw that Java wasn't allowed for 2021 and I'm a bit concerned because I have never done C++ before? I was just wondering whether that was permanent or whether it was solely for 2021
Hey try to read all of the problems first and only then start solving the first one. This way your unconcious brain will think about the rest of the problems in background and by the time you start solving them, most of the thinking will be already completed
