the $800 choice is well worth it, an investment! the others are great too. glad to see it doesn't seem like AI was used on these which is something that seems to happen with other cover fiverr videos i watched.
Hello, Dale hope u r fine. In the past, I used to work on Amazon with low-content books, and I used to get my resources from Pixabay, Pexels, and Canva. Now, I want to get back to working on Kindle, but I was told that it's not legal to use free resources. So, I'm considering subscribing to Creative Fabrica. What do you think, and is it really true that I can't use free resources?
Give it a shot, but I can't guarantee results. I don't talk about Fiverr much lately because of a sponsorship agreement I have with a competing company (Dibbly).
Practice. I've also been a student of this business for ten years and been doing videos for the past eight years about self-publishing. Last I knew it, I've published over 1,600 videos across two channels. If you go back to the old videos, you'll see WAY less confidence. I've been doing it for so long that it's just second nature. Also, some things you can probably relate to - working out, eating right, and daily meditating. Junk in, junk out, so I limit the stuff that could make me feel less than average both physically and mentally.
@@DaleLRoberts At least you are a native speaker and you (probably) know what you are talking about. I have seen other youtubers whose English is way worse than mine, but they still have a high self-esteem and confidence to talk in front of everyone.
No. You can join me in my Discord community and ask what you need there. But I’m not handing out my phone number to random strangers on the internet. I’m sure you understand.
Hi i upload my prayer journal and it goes to draft after review now they change the cover and manuscript file format from pdf file to another file what should i do now? How i can fix these errors?
Ooo, stay tuned to this channel. This Saturday at 12:15pm EDT, I'll be hosting an interview with successful historical fiction author and Amazon Ads expert, Vincent B. Davis. He's going to be talk about ten ways to improve your ad campaigns: ru-vid.comjbiCaqXomEA?feature=share. I'm looking forward to the chat and hope you find it helpful. While you're waiting, you can always check out the second part to this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kLczug147To.html. Rick Wong came back to share tips for optimizing your ad campaigns. It's a short but helpful video.
👋 Dale Oh I'm publishing not only ebooks in the future but is Ingram spark the best for publishing children books and COLORING BOOKS? Im an illustrator as well. Im on the verge of finally doing my own as the author and the Illustrator. 😊 oh my gosh. Cant believe it. Also I just completed illustrations for an author. Whoa.
Sweet, congrats! Children’s books are okay to publish on IngramSpark. I’m not sure about coloring books though. Check with their support to find out. I’ve never published coloring books through them, so that’s why I can’t confirm if it’s okay.
Hi Dale, Hope all is well, I've hit a wall with D2D and I could really use some help. I keep trying to sign up but I'm having an issue. Do you by chance know who I can contact and is there a phone number available? (been ongoing for a 6 months) Thank you Penelope
There’s a support option on their site. Have you tried that? Ping them on social media. Hit them up during their weekly live broadcasts. While I’d love to directly help all my viewers, the self-publishing companies don’t like when I push through their normal communication processes. Sorry.
If you don’t plan to publish anywhere else, an ISBN isn’t essential. Get more details in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XumSGMK-BP8.htmlsi=aDxg1BIhd47RqP_R
Hi Dale, my KDP account was suspended last year after making some changes for the books I had published by that time. After 14 months, my KDP account was reinstated by itself. (I stopped fighting with KDP). And, somehow, I started receiving sales this month pretty much every day. it definitely works if you continue doing the required job so I am back to your channel! Thank you so much for all the guidance and content here.
@@DaleLRoberts Thank you so much! Well, it''s time to dive into it and continue the work. I felt that I lost 2 years for progress but somehow seeing the sales like that makes me do the work more than ever!
I am launching my KDP book (first book ever) on September 7th. I was thinking about letting my pre-launch list and other followers know that the book would be $2.57 for the first six hours before going to its regular price of $8.97. My questions....1) Can I change the price of the book whenever I want to? 2) Is this against any policies? 3) Is this a bad idea overall? Thanks, Dale!!
@@DaleLRoberts As always, thank you for your time. 1) Do you have any videos on what I mentioned? 2) Do you have a one-off paid-for Zoom session option in your suite of offerings?
1) I do but I can't recall which one. Having a backlog of 1600 videos between two channels has its pros and cons. 2) Not right now. I'm in the midst of an eight-book series launch, so my attention is all on that till this time next year. Pop into my Discord community (link in description). I'm there everyday and am happy to answer questions.
Wow thank you so much for this video! So helpful. I am writing my first book. It is an illustrated children’s book. Do you have a preference for this type?
Ooo, you're going to want to look into KDP, IngramSpark, Bookvault, and Lulu. Run some test proofs through each of them. The only limiting factor you have is hardcover. KDP has a ridiculous minimum page count for hardcovers (I believe it's 74 or 75 pages), so if you can't meet that minimum, try the other companies. For quality, Bookvault and Lulu are head and shoulders above the rest (in my opinion). But, Lulu tends to be a bit pricey for base costs. Bookvault is more around the same pricing as IngramSpark - slightly more expensive than KDP. I hope that helps. Hey, have you ever checked out Self-Publishing Made Simple with April Cox? She's my go-to expert in children's book publishing. Ask her that question and you'll get a more detailed response. I stand behind whatever she recommends since she's helped hundreds of authors publish children's books. I hope that helps and thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Hi, do you get to decide which one of the major retailers you want your books to go to? Or Bookvault will make that decision for you. Thank you for this great Video.
Sadly, I think Bookvault's Global Distribution is an all-or-nothing proposition. You can select The Great British Book Shop if that's all you want. Or if you want to keep your listing private and order copies for yourself, you can. But, getting distribution is different. Reach out to Bookvault support to be sure. I'm still relatively new to the platform, so I don't want to mislead you.
