Just to be sure that they got all the remjet off, is it recommended to put plain water in your developing tank, agitate a bit then pour out before adding the c41 developer?

The only bad point is the boom pole on the shoulder. This is definitively to avoid for mouvement, reactivity and précision reason

An easy way to hide the lines is to put painters tape down it and paint over them.

Nice tutorial on timelapse with good info. Your math is a bit of though: 72 * 16 = 1152, not 1107. (I get that you probably stopped the capture a bit before, actually (1152 - 1107) / 3 = 15 hours early. 😉)

I almost got it. i place the MP4 into the stock footage of a tablet, but the MP4 comes in as a still and i want a very specific sequence to run, not the whole movie. do i need to create the clip that matches the stock footage?

I shot a video in 4k (25p 100) in dimensions 16:9 and in the editing software I turned it to 9:16 so that it fits Tiktok. How do I shrink it to fit WhatsApp, that is, up to 64 mb without harming its quality because it seems to come out "smeared" in WhatsApp? Thanks

Thank u for this one mate. I opted for microphones connected to a 4 pists mixer connected to a Zoom camera. But I haven't tried yet. I hesitated a long time between field recorder and mixer.

Even though I appreciate the effort to teach people about sound, there are a lot of wrong tipps in this video. First thing: just let the boom pole rest on your shoulders. This will lead to issues with your spine and apart from that you are kinda locked into a certain position and restricted your movement. I don't know about the US, but at least in europe sound rolls before camera...I've never heard anyone anywhere say "audio speeding" though... And no: you don't want to "get as close to the slate as possible". Those sticks are loud (one of the reasons why you should do "soft sticks" in a close-up...actors will appreciate it) so you just need to get the slate announcement and the clap itself at a solid level. Usually you don't aim at the actor's mouth but more to the sternum. Aiming at the mouth will often sound too harsh. About getting roomtone....there are a few cases, where you might need roomtone, but you have to understand what roomtone is for. If you know that editing will have to cut out longer parts of the take (footsteps from crew, airplane during non dialogue parts, etc.) then it might be useful for post. But recording roomtone for every scene and/or setup is madness and something you won't see any professional do today. Time on film sets is expensive and if you really start to hold up production after every setup, you will be released from your job before lunch break! If you need to replace short parts of a take, then this is something that you can easily do with surrounding audio material. (Hope this makes sense, but you can read a lot about roomtone and why/where to use it in John Purcell's "Dialogue Editing for motion picture") And last but not least: You are correct about taking off headphones while not recording, but you forgot to mention why: it's hearing damage. I know a lot of colleagues who now have to crank up the headphone volume to the max in order to work. So work safe, don't turn your headphone volume up too high and take those headphones off whenever you can!

Can you re-do it without the background music? I lowered the volume, but then can't listen to the cutting and frying. It is great though 👍
