Lifestyle and Travel Photographer. I'm still looking for a direction for this channel. I really don't have any excuses left not to make more videos that I like!
Sorry for your experience, it's not the best quality. The good news is it's a very generic design and parts can be found. I'm not really sure where to look though. Let me know how you solve this
I have a grinder that looks mostly like this, but there are two extra parts and I wasn't sure what to do with them. I left them out and it's working great! I have no idea why they were included.
Yes, it's still worth it. Quality is not an issue. The only problems I had with it were related to ergonomics like the start lag, it takes a few seconds to start and extend the lens each time you turn it on. It's just something I had to get used to.
Awesome, the compact one is good for minimal city use for sure, not really enough for plane carry. Yes tactical pouch is underutilized as of now, these pouches have featured in two videos now, let's see if I can elaborate
I purchased the InstaCuppa electric coffee grinder last year and it worked fine, just adjust once, fill, switch on and let it do it's thing. But recently the entire mechanism has shifted (?) so the space between the two parts of the burr grinder just don't reduce no matter how much I screw to adjust. No help from InstaCuppa since it's past its warranty. Wondering if getting a manual one would be better. Any suggestions?
That's a bummer. I've never had an electric grinder, but if you're mainly brewing espresso or brewing multiple cups a day, I guess electric makes sense. I'm mostly brewing pour over and rarely espresso so hand grinder makes more sense to me. In general hand grinders have better burrs and quality for similar prices since they don't have motors etc. Hope that helps?
Thanks for your comment. If you don't have a brewer already, I'd start with the easily available V60. I guess I should clarify I'm not talking about South Indian Filter Coffee.
I've seen a couple of videos of Dehancer - I haven't had the chance to use it but the footage looks great coming out of it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! By the way I film movies and just filmed a film emulation travelogue around Europe & one about the journey of an aspiring painter in Sweden. If you have a moment I'd appreciate you taking a look, thank you! :)
I love this bag. I own both Millican 25L and 35L backpack and love them both. Quick unrelated question: What software/plugin do you use to insert those cool captions in the video?
Hi Vipin, thanks for your question. Aeropress is a very forgiving brewer and does not need great precision so I believe you can work with this grinder. However if you can find a steel burr grinder I'd greatly recommend that over a ceramic burr one like the instacuppa one.
@@DistilledStills Hey thanks for your prompt response. Could you recommend anothing better in the same budget as I am a student I don't think I would be able to spend more than this. Thanks you
No worries, I used this grinder for about two years, and if this is your first grinder go for it. I would recommend something like a Timemore C2 for an upgrade when you can. Or you can get your coffee ground in small quantities from a local cafe for the time being.
I do this when my SCOBY has gotten old and weak, or when I have taken a break from making Kombucha. Sometimes I do not want to purchase a SCOBY from some unknown person, so I make my own just as you have shown. It may take about a month to get a strong SCOBY but it is worth it to me knowing that it was created and handled in a clean environment. 👍
Hi Maria can I know why you're looking to upgrade? JX pro can do both filter and espresso well. Jmax can also do filter but it's great at espresso, lot more fine adjustment available. I would go for that if I'm planning to brew more espresso. I had a C2 for a long time and the only reason I upgraded was to be able to brew espresso better. My dad still uses my old C2 and it works great for filter.
I liked your video. Just one question, I know that we don't have to scrub the inside of the pan with a sponge, if we have gas stove , then can we scrub the outside of the pan with steel wool or not needed?
Hi Lovelene, thanks for your question. Scrubbing the outside is up to you, but it's still carbon steel so every place it comes into contact with water and air you may see some rusting. Either way steel wool is not needed it scrubs off easily with normal scrub pad. Hope that helps
My first camera back in 1976 was a Mamiya 1000DTL in black; after a few years of use, there was wear and tear, and the nice-looking black color turned into a brass-looking color. From then on, all my cameras, except the Yashicamatic 124 G, are silver. I am undecided between the XE4 and the Pro 3; yeah, the Pro is more expensive, but this might be the last camera I will buy. Enjoy your new toy.
Thanks for your comment Luis. I see your point about the black paint but I hope it doesn't get too bad. So far it's held up pretty well! I would go with the xpro line if I were more seriously shooting only images I guess and if I definitely want an optical viewfinder. It's definitely more weather sealed and sturdier. I don't enjoy that style of screen though. Hope you've made your decision already, I'm sure neither will disappoint!
I have the same grinder, JX pro. The metal while thick but very soft. My fell from the countertop height onto the tile floor and bent. There was a small flat spot in the top rim. The plastic attached to the handle interfered with the part that was bent. Being such a soft material, it was easy to bend back into a round shape using some pliers and is working fine again. I am happy with the grinder overall and does more than my skill level or palette can appreciate.
Glad you could easily mend your grinder Bob! No denying the fact that it's very heavy though, the crank accidentally knocked one of my servers and broke it haha! Definitely an excellent quality grinder for the price and so far I've not reached its limits as far as my taste goes either! Thanks for your comment👍
Great video brother 👍 first time viewer but I'll definitely be waiting for your next post. I liked the fact that your video was well structured and organized. You have great gear too. Did I miss it, do you carry a power bank?
