Hey Angie. I think you have a special advantage to a homeschool question. Because you’re not secular or woke, but you also love learning all the good and bad parts of history, do you think you could cover advice for that topic in a video? Maybe share what curriculum you have/haven’t liked using over the years or the kinds of framing, or what your criteria is that you’ve learned to prioritize for the kids education or the critical thinking questions you instill in your kids? Just some ideas to take and run with
Wow. This math book is incredible, I wish shomeone would have done one like this applied in European reality (different insurance systems and probably more stuff).

I just ordered wind and waves, fields and flowers, and sparks and stars Do the activity books go with those science curriculums? Like botany with fields and flowers. Space with sparks and stars ect?
I looove what you said about technology and chores. Were going to move to Florida within 1-3 months and once we do we’ll be homeschooling, but we already have them doing chores and they dont have any electronics at all. They watch TV as a family and on on occasion they get to use a tablet but in this day in age kids are getting raised by tablets/phones and are being exposed to things they shouldn’t be.

Okay this one spoke to me! The funny, I am sooo not a funny person. Always serious and not much of a sense of humor but my boys are silly. My dad who passed 3 yrs ago was a big kid and I often think how he would be helping me loosen up some in this season on life. Also as a single income home, I watch where I spend but I found ceramic night lights in a 2 pack at BJs and they make me so happy. Just looking at them and the ambiance they add to our home makes me feel good. So I agree with this 100% Thank you 💕
Do you have any recommendations for high school Spanish? I have been researching and it is overwhelming. I need it to be thorough enough to count as a high school credit with different levels for her to build on throughout high school, but I do not know much Spanish, so I need it to be something online or with videos that she could watch. Any recommendations are appreciated. You are my fist stop when researching curriculum for my kiddos. Thank you!

I love how you pointed out that social media and video games have great potential to rob children if their childhood. It's so true. If we use games, its for school or learning and its strictly limited. The stuff is so addictive also. But great point.
We are in Washington State. I have 5 kids, 16-4, but are going to homeschool our 12yo girl for the first time this coming school year. She will be in 7th grade, but really struggled in public school. She suffers from severe migraines and the constant computer use just really reeked havoc on attendance and her middle school experience. She has begged for a couple years now to homeschool and I think I'm finally brave enough to give it a go. I've been watching your videos for years, but honestly still have no idea where to start... Especially since we're just starting with one kiddo. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Very insightful video, just found you last night. I wanted to say gardening would be a useful thing to teach children also. I am just now trying to learn and i wish someone had taught me this sooner.
I know the Good and the Beautiful is Christian. Right? Well I was wondering if their science things also had anything to do with religion, or are they secular?
I so so so agree with teaching older girls about safe situations. In college i went on a first date with a guy i had just met, got in his car and he drove for almost an hour to a completely secluded spot. Luckily he really did just have a beautiful sunset spot that he wanted to show me but looking back i cannot believe how trusting I was.
I had a similar thing happen and I started to realize how stupid Inhad been and a little panic set in. I said “hey do you want to go watch a movie l?” and being the pervert he was, said YES! and he took back off towards his room on base. Once there I made an excuse to leave the room (I need to go get dvds) and never went back. He came into my work a couple weeks later under the guise of needing help for his animal and I hid in the back. Thank God I got out of town shortly after that. Yuuuuuck my stomach does flips thinking about the whole scenario. Total manipulative creep!

However, you kept saying you would link below, but I'm not seeing any of the specifics you mentioned you'd link for each one. (Though you do mention The Gift of Fear directly at least -LOVE that book!- but I'd really love to see links to some of the others! Do you have someone else that you have shared them?
