I've been a TV news reporter for the better part of the last decade but I've always had an affinity for cars: naming them as they zip by on the highway, guessing what they are just by the bumper or hubcap, spouting off a guess at the MSRP when challenged by a friend. To me, they are moving pieces of art, representing hours of painstaking craftsmanship and are the extensions of the very people who drive them. At Overdrive, we're obsessed with the details: the stitching on leather seats, the ambient lighting under a door panel, the feel of an armrest, the position of a center console touchscreen. Our goal is to give you the basics -- and then some -- of any car we review. Some are short, others are longer. We hope you enjoy the Overdrive 'overview'!
Thanks man. I had no idea. I am taking a flight out of state to pick mine up. I thought the dealer would handle everything and was just gonna drive off in it.
I have this model. Just over 18k out the door. 10 year, 200k mile warranty. It will still be under warranty when it's finally paid off. Low monthly payments. Good everyday driver. No it does not have a center console, no it does not have any peal out power. Yes , it's reliable and good on gas. If you need something that's gonna be reliable and last forever, with low maitenance cost, then this is a really awesome car. I love mine. Everyone knocks these cause they're not racers but they're not meant to be that.
This guy needs to do more research before giving a review. First off. I have a 24 Tacoma off road premium. This truck does not come with a lift stock. The only ones that do are TRD Pro and trailhunter. Second a 265-70-17 tire is not a 33” tire my dude. It’s actually a 31.6” tire to be exact. Need to give people proper, accurate info my man. Keep up with the reviews though. Not trying to be negative. Awesome trucks
Nissan killed the versa too, Sentra will be the cheapest car. Mitsubishi might consider keeping it past 2025. Cant beat the 5 year bumper to bumper and 100,000 mile power train warranty
New teslas will come with the J-1772 adapter by default, but does not come with the mobile connector anymore, so it is possible when used that there won't be a mobile connector with it.
I've one and just love it! You feel the quality of mitsubishi for sure. I'm not sure why you said cheap material, dashboard, and front doors are soft materials. 🙄🙄
I still don't understand why somebody would buy a car like this especially brand new. There's so many good solid used cars that I could buy for the amount this car is sold for brand new. If I wanted a very tiny car that's fuel efficient I'd buy a used Honda Fit. Personally I won't drive anything smaller than a Honda Civic that's the cut off for me when it comes to small cars
This car can barely get out of its own way though... To me an extremely slow car is dangerous. It must be fun merging on a highway with this thing especially with 4 passengers sitting in it. This is not a car it's a covered scooter with seats for 4 maybe 5
In canada it's still going to be 21k ish after taxes to have a base model, anything else is 30k, a versa is around 25k. CVT Transmissions are not known to be the most reliable and are expensive to repair. A Quality Sedan like a Mazda 3 or Nissan Sentra/Hyundai Elantra either way will put you 27-31k after taxes and a garbage interest rate won't likely go below 6% less you can pay it off in under 4 years. The price of one of these mirages will get you a low or normal mileage 5-10 year old car with little to know warranty and an interest rate and shorter term loan that will probably still cost you the same if not more then either a versa or mirage. The market is such a joke. These were 10k new once, and not much has changed aside from a few standard features, including some mandatory like a rear backup camera. But i suppose if you don't want to take the risk of buying something significantly older and higher mileage and have it inspected then well you can have a mirage for 300$ a month and pretty good warranty.
To the people who want to bash EV’s. I went from $400 a month in gas to $60 a month for electric. Driving the car is much safer than other sedans. Maybe try it before you ignorantly insult something different than what you have. To do so makes you appear immature. I own luxury gasoline and diesel automobiles including semi-trucks. You don’t have to love one and hate the other. They all serve a purpose.
The model 3 is limited to 32 AMPs while charging at home. It’s written somewhere in the cars literature. The only way I am aware of to go over this limit is by using 3 phase electric supply which the electric company is highly unlikely to install in a residential building.
Consider changing to 200 amp service from the power company and upgrade your panel and while you are paying an electrician, get a whole panel surge protector and wire for 220 at your range as induction ranges often require it. Natural gas is going to go away in the next ten years.
The Car will only charge at it's fastest speed at a certain percentage of battery, batteries do not charge linearly instead they must charge at a lower rate the higher the battery percentage is. Usually peak charging will occur within the first 20 percent
Ford f-150 don’t last much more than 150000 miles before you need lots of work done to them like new transmission, new timing chain, new exhaust manifolds new engine, you get the idea.
Does it have airbags all around? I would worry about getting hit hard, by most any other vehicle. This car is cute...but the more you showed us, the more I was thinking about a Nissan Versa...a couple thousand more might be worth the improvements?
I drove the Wagoneer L across California and Nevada for two weeks as a rental car from Alamo. Through Death Valley, through Yosemite, through San Francisco and L.A. and along Route 1 to Big Sur. We had a lot of luggage with us, but there were only two of us, my wife and me. I absolutely fell in love with the Wagoneer. It's a shame that it isn't sold here in Germany. A fantastic car! Thumbs up!👍
You don't need to be a college student to need this car. You can be anyone needing a good car. My Mirage has 100,000 miles. Nothing has broke. I am 60.
Really? FAKE Carbon? Couldn't they just invest a tinsie bit more for ACTUAL carbon fiber? And a tinsie bit more for turbos, enhanced powertrain, better aero, and enhanced performance. But uh, no no no ☝️ We get This.
I think these are great little cars. The only negative that I see is the CVT transmission because it is a JATCO unit and they are not very well-built. However, one of these cars with a 5-speed manual transmission fits the bill perfectly. Sadly, driving a manual transmission is kind of a lost art these days.
@@curbozerboomer1773 This saddens me. Especially since I know that it's available everywhere else in the world. It's not exactly the same but similar to how the Nissan Versa is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission in the base trim. They don't give you the option of buying a higher-spec version with anything other than the cvt.
If you want faster MPG updates, reset it to zero miles. It's probably averaging MPG over hundreds of miles, so the changes are slow. Also, change the speedometer to digital, for the best accuracy. The transmission adapts to your driving style over time and gets very smooth.
