Mostly videos from concerts, skiing, autocross, ocasional woodworking or metalworking projects. If you're into skiing or snowboarding, make sure to check out my Jollyturns mobile application and web site.
It all depends on the snow level, but yeah, you should be able to do it. The main difference between those and Chute 75 is that there is less room to escape. I'd try to ski it in a good season, though I'd avoid it early in the season.
High end devices are typically sold face to face. A professional salesman estimates you, and say correct words to sell some st to you. They don’t give a f to pay a penny to YT to entertain such plebs like us.If you hear “special”, “extraordinary”, “amazing” every time that means they spend a dollar and want a thousand back. All you need is a low distortion woofer and a mid bass in a stiff cabinet, and resonance free compression driver with a properly calculated horn. Everything else is an exterior and a title (but when you are not a famous title, you have to have a good salesman). JBL already discovered this long time ago as a result of hundreds of special tests with different audiences
JP, we did meet some years ago, in the Gunbarrel lift. We were doing laps under it, you flying through the moguls, me skiing a little slower. Cheers! 😀
Yes, I did it on my know. I checked the 3D map of the area on Jollyturns' website to look at the terrain. I also observed the people that were dropping in: if they had regular downhill ski bindings I assumed there was no hiking involved. I don't recommend this to anyone unless they're familiar skiing in the backcountry, have the proper equipment with them, and understand the risks involved.
@@dee2skiI know how it is, if the season is good in Tahoe I don’t want to go anywhere. This winter I decided to explore Europe, this was day 38 in the trip. Enjoy your turns!
Finally an Adult ski video. It shows how to motor on nice terrain. It also is rare on yootoob to find a vid which is not full of Brits en holiday skidding around on their way to lunch. I just found your channel and really liked that Grand Col line at Les Arcs... Thanks for some local knowledge. I will be there for the first time on Mar. 4th ... I hope for some fluff or at least wind-blown sand between those moguls which actually looked like nice little titties... ps: You had good luck on M. Fort too. Excellent!
Thanks for the comments! You won’t find videos of me on the way to lunch simply because on good days I never stop for lunch: I either pack a sandwich or have powder for lunch. ❄️⛷️
Yeah, it’s a pretty sketchy run. The trickiest bit in my opinion could be the first section, you’re pretty much skiing in a tunnel. You have to maintain your speed, and there are very few places you can make turns to slow down. If it’s icy, you catch up speed very quickly, and it’s impossible to slow down.
Thanks! That was a Saturday. They had just opened that section of the mountain, a day after the actual powder day. The terrain and views are absolutely amazing. But just like in US, the powder hounds will track everything fast.
nice ! I was wondering why so many people are descending in the chair, than I saw the saddle and the descent on the other side :) btw. is that Grand Casse @1:32 in the background, you are zooming on ?
@@kalimachiosYou're right, the one in front is Grand Casse. There a telepherique (Grand Motte) that takes you almost close to the ridge. The valley below it looks spectacular. I believe the one you're asking about is Mont Pourri.
Hello 👋 I have a question as a powder skier) I see what you are using DPS 106 (or similar). May I ask how tall you are and what length of skis you use? I'm interesting tree skiing also)
I use 112 underfoot, I think 106 is not that much for powder, depending on where you ski. On powder skis the tip and tail of the ski are lifted. You need the ski longer than you are tall, since the distance between the points of contact with the snow is shorter. Look at the ski profile on a website showing them to see what I'm talking about. This matters when you are on crud, where you need to make turns effectively. I'd try skis 10cm longer than your height. Enjoy it!
I have 105 Head core and they longer on 5cm but for me little bit difficult to make a sharp turn on it between trees. Although the turning radius on them is only 15 meters. On gentle slopes with a long turning radius they going well. It’s probably worth trying another ski manufacturer, or practice more 😅 Thanks)@@ovidiucp
what is the hard way. The title says chute 75 so I would assume that is pretty much down the middle. He did not say chute 75 the hard way. In those conditions it is not hard however if it is icy, look for a different way down.
I was at this concert with a friend who's a huge fan, my first time seeing them. This song was stuck in my head for a week after. Not mad. Thanks for filming it!
