Hi dear Friends and Petrolheads🤘 Welcome to Push The Throttle! My name is Radu and I am a passionate petrolhead dedicated to exploring the world of cars and the joy of driving. My channel aims to provide engaging content about driving different cars, new and old from first person perspective (POV) on different beautiful and cinematic roads.
The 82hp 1.2 PureTech from Stellantis car group must be one of the worst engines ever built. It's widely known for its poor piston ring design, wet belt system that literally disintegrates itself as you use it, poor fuel economy, poor flexibility, poor throttle response.. And yet, they've used it in pretty much everything Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat and Opel has to offer. I've driven it quite a bit. A 2018 Peugeot 2008. Such a horrible experience, it's actually dangerous to drive. No merging power, rough as a tractor, no power below 3k rpm.. I know the 130hp turbo version is better but it beings to eat oil even faster. Stay away from this engine, it's simply not worth it.
@@thabzmad7265 the european 8th and 9th gen Civic are based on the Fit platform which is why they have magic seats, but also lame torsion beam rear suspension. The ROW 8th and 9th gen had proper IRS. Oh and the USDM 8th gen Si had the same hp as the FN2 Type R, but with IRS as well. And sold at a cheaper price...
@@ShaiyanHossain Yeah, saying it's better is pointless if you don't specify how. The European version in the video may have torsion beam, but it's a twist beam (H) type, not rigid straight cheap single beam type. This allows for limited independent movement of the wheels, not close to or as good IRS, but somewhere halfway between IRS and poverty spec beam suspension. In addition, it provides for tons of cubic space in the hatch including the spare wheel which far exceeds that of the FD/sedan ROW type. It also has better interior soft touch materials up to rear doors in 5 doors and is better insulated against road NVH with complete under wheel and body panels. I know, I have the 2012 -2016 version of it with a panoramic roof, actually we have both versions in our country. FK was also sold in many parts of the world, AUS, NZ, ZA in addition to Europe. Don't have to take my word about it, research it.
@@ShaiyanHossain one more thing about HP, I have the diesel version, 2.2 motor normally 148hp, 320NM tq, but mine is spiced up a bit at 156Hp and 380Nm, go eat cake!
R18, has 174 NM torque. Don't be lazy, revv it and you get peak torque from 4300 rpm up to 5200. After that Vtec will take you to 6800 rpm and you leave Toyota 2.0 liter in the smog😅
