Thanks for the detail. It took a while to get to the problem, but you describing it was helpful. I live in an old house with many connected outlets. This helps remind me why a problem could exist with the add on s Great Job!!🙂
You're welcome, I am glad this was of help. And thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. When I started this repair I was at a loss as to where to start and could not find any help on line. After thinking about it for a day ( plus the cost to have someone come make the repair) I came up with this. @michelegrimes874 I have other videos on my channel that cover different subjects and new videos added weekly that may also be of help or interest. Thank you for watching. In this case no, it was a burnt/worn out outlet. Although it is obvious that there was a break somewhere in the line the problem was how to find the break. In the video you can see half the outlets in the kitchen did not work but the break was from an outlet in another room. Stay safe, Joe Z

Same issue on a run of 6 50 year old outlets. I did not spend the whole day testing and testing. I just replaced the outlets for around 20 bucks in a little over an hour. Problem solved!!!!!!
Thank you for watching. The problem I had is not knowing which outlets were on the run. The one that was the problem was in another room. Hope you get to stop by again. Stay safe, Joe Z

I am having that problem now . The plug boot is covered so well by the housing it is hard to get off the plug without pulling hard . I think that is why mine came off . I never saw thst spring set up before . I liked the old spark plug clip with no boot . Lots of good info . Thanks for the help .

I am looking it over again. It does not seem right to me. But any other way & the belt fits worse. Not sure if the right belt was originally installed.
the knock off carbs are JUNK.. do not waste your time. or money. if someone is selling a 90$ carb kit for 20$... you know what.. its no good. Get OEM.. from a reputable dealer that has a excelent return policy.. also, an OEM carb doe NOT need ANY ADJUSTMENTS.. it should work right as it is. these carb kits for 20$ need to be adjusted and if that is not done right you can burn out the motor.
@mikem4432 thank you for watching & taking the time to comment. The knock off carbs are a hit or miss but I had a good run with them. Some I had to tweak but I found for the savings it was worth it. May not be worth the chance for a shop but for some of the less than "ideal" units its worth a shot. On a newer unit in good shape I would go with the oem. Stay safe, Joe Z

Wow, they haven't made this model in like forever, but that thing looks brand new! Pristine condition. Wish mine looked even half as good as that. I'm a bit curious why you titled this video Omni 105 when it's an 85 you've got there. Yeah they are similar but why make that the title.
Thank you for watching & commenting. Good catch. I had to go look. I am only guessing at this point. I had another kerosene heater that was similar & may have used that model # in the title. Or got that model # off the wick package. What was I thinking LOL Thanks again and stay well, Joe Z
I still have them along with a couple of pairs of steel ramps. Feel a lot safer with the steel. Always use jack stands along with the ramps. "Belt & suspenders" LOL Stay safe, Joe Z
"Out of sight out of mind" until it falls apart. I get them in sometimes so bad the spindles are barely hanging on. I have one old JD zero turn I picked up over a year ago to restore ( just can't get to it ) that the previous owner has wood holding the top of the deck together.
I just replaced all of the org. 2001 Chevy Silverado radiator hoses/ after having a heater hose connector broke off costing me 1400 dollars in a 100 mile tow . Thanks
That was an expensive tow! I try to keep up with maintenance but especially with older vehicles you never know when something may just let go. I have been an AAA member for several years. Only used it twice, did not break even as far as pay out & use but just one expensive tow when least expected will more than make it worthwhile. Stay safe Joe Z
@@JOEZEP54 lol yeap after some 50yrs of driving never needed a tow. Got AAA next day. I had a choice of having Em fix $1200 [maybe in a week/and a Holet room and a 10 mile tow or just tow it home. Got it home 30 dollars to fix and 90mins to do it.
@@ZIGZAGBureauofInvestigation LOL almost the same situation here. Time & dollar wise you made the right choice. Just a hard pill to sallow for a $30.00 repair.
@ZIGZAGBureauofInvestigation I try to buy local from privately owned stores/shops but sometimes the price difference is too much. Plus if I'm stuck I get the part delivered usually in a day or 2. @ZIGZAGBureauofInvestigation, when you get a chance check out some of the other videos on my channel. I had the same issue and found that the mower had absorbed some water into the fuel tank. I drained and cleaned the tank, blew out the fuel lines, replaced the fuel filter, and drained the carburetor. Now it's running great. Be sure to check the intake manifold o-rings (gaskets) and look for a possible air leak.
Thanks for sharing. Agree; did help but not sure of age of his CS V mine. His had a bendable rod; I have a WIRE that is connected to same carb lever, then going back to the trigger via an oddly designed “slot” at very bottom of the carb cover.

I can only run fans and the lights in my house right now because im not getting enough power. Checked the outside box and the inside box and the readings are coming back like they should, but i still have very little power, and fluctuations when i plug other stuff in. Any help would be appreciated. Ty.
Keep in mind I am not an electrician & am not giving electrical instructions. That said I would first check the breaker for this line. Do you see any corrosion or discoloration on the connection where the line is connected to it or on the breaker where it connects to the box? I would also check the outlets that have the issue. Looking for any discoloration, loose or disconnected wires. Let me know if this was of any help. Stay safe, Joe Z

Im having the same issue, I noticed my shops lights would randomly flicker and dim out, they finally go out completely and I noticed the outside light, dryer plug is out, and a couple kitchen outlets don't work during the same time. I'm going to check a few outlets in the morning, if I can't figure it out, I'll call an electrician, lol.
Not the problem in this video but I had a bad breaker once that caused the same problems you described. I would check the breaker first, it may be an easy repair. I hope this will be of some help. Hello @@JOEZEP54 , I have been meaning to let you know that the day after watching your video I followed your instruction and was finally able to unscrew the vacuum breaker. I want to thank God first then you. Your instruction worked great I was able drill through the left over screw. I sprayed some WD-40 near the joint. After making a few turns with a wrench I was able use my fingers to unscrew the vacuum breaker. I, however, made some scratches on the thread on the bib (cannot expect better than an amateur like me :)) Today I brought a new vacuum breaker, put it on, attached a hose and was able water the garden very nicely. It was such a relief. Thank you so very much for your video.
