Hey brother, I have 285/75/17 with a 3 inch coilover rough country lift/ Freedom Offeoad UCA and three alignment shops cant get the positive camber corrected. Think I should find other shops?
Im putting the freedom off-road 2-4 uca right now on my Nissan titan, and it also came with a locknut. I have it on the ground and still can’t get it to tighten all the way up…it just keeps spinning. I can’t tighten it or take it off…it’s pretty frustrating
Looks great! I am installing these on my 1st gen tundra. I do want to make a comment regarding the UCA’s. It’s my understanding these specific UCA have exactly the same articulation and performance of a stock OEM UAC. Due to this information I went with JBA. I have beat the crap out of my SPC’s on my other 1st gen but their prices are ridiculous now so I opted out of a rebuy. As freedom grows and gets more well known I hope clarification on these UAC will be widely understood. Everyone says they work great and are very affordable but I think purchasers need to know if performance is not what they think. My 2 cents
Hey bud I have the set up on my 2018 tundra with the uniball uppers. I want to adjust the coil over to level the front. Do I compress the spring to raise it or decompress?
I cannot for the life of me fit the socket over the bolt head of the sensor. I’ve got a swivel connector and the extension attached to a 24mm socket but the SC is keeping the socket from angling correctly. What kind of socket do you have? I looked for hours in different stores and no one had that tapered socket like you
Just finished replacing mine. The coat hanger worked like a charm to remove the clamp. The sensor came out fairly easily. Getting the new sensor to thread was extremely difficult. Using the socket with u-joint did not work. I had to use a custom made wooden stick pushed into the open end of the sensor to actually thread it. Be creative! To connect the harness, I used a long double jointed needle nose pliers (Crescent brand). With that tool, the connection was made within 3 minutes. All good so far.
What were your symptoms that lead you to change the sensor? My understanding is there are two oil pressure sensors. One for low pressure and another that releases over pressure. I believe this to be low pressure sensing. I am getting a shut engine off oil pressure too low at warm idle on my center cluster display. I have not scanned the ECU yet to see if it is throwing a code as it is not triggering a check engine light.
@@dennisfernau8076 I was getting the shut engine off like you. I did not scan the ECU. Since the sensor was relatively inexpensive, I decided to replace it. The vehicle has now been driven each day for four days without any warnings. The sensor I replaced was the one pin gray sensor. I also purchased the two pin purple sensor just in case but haven't needed it.
Mine went to shit almost instantly. Bushing all blew out within 10k and was hardly offroad. Lots of spring bind in the front. Removing the rear freedom offroad shocks today. Fronts will be next
@@thejeremytownsend glad to know I dodged this bullet. I ended up getting OME nitrochargers with 2881 springs. Just went on my first trail run with them today and they were great. On the firmer side but way better than the spacer lift.
@@ulisespinales1978 Yah its the high oil pressure sensor that went bad. After moving some stuff out the way and some contortion skills I was able to switch it out. All is fine now and haven't gotten the issue since.
Bro can you tell me the type of socket you used? I know it’s 24mm but the supercharger will NOT let me fit the thing over the bolt head of the sensor. I have a swivel connector and an extension but still can’t get it.
you have to press the ball joint out of the spindle and put the pucks in there right ? Im doing mine now with fox coilovers and old man springs / bilstein shocks in rear.
Did you say little over 700 for coil over shocks and upper control arms or just coil overs and shocks also can the springs handle a aftermarket bumperThank you
Nice setup! How is towing? Mpg (never great towing lol)? I ask because seriously thinking about picking up one of these to tow a bass boat. Probably do intake and full exhaust for some extra torque gains.
