Think about the MASSIVE parking lots that are available under Northern Virginia COmmunity College, 6 huge campuses. Go the same way that is Tucson airport.
Hello I’m trying to learn as much as I dna to become a wind turbine tech .. I have always been in the construction world I am very mechanically inclined fast learner and always eager to step my game up. On your site theres not much for entry level work is there someone I can contact besides HR?
If it’s a 56 month coarse, what do you expect to teach in a 22 minute video? I get that it’s dangerous if you’re not competent because I’ve been doing it for a few years now self taught but 4.5 years? C’mon! In my opinion it’s just another way for colleges to take your hard earned cash. I agree it’s not to be taken lightly but I’m sure it can be taught in less time than almost half a decade, either you understand it or you don’t. This is why many employers would rather choose the kid out of high school to be taught instead of the guy out of college with a framed piece of paper entitled to $30/hr or more. Say what you will, college is for doctors and lawyers, most other traits are best learnt with experience. I’m gonna assume that those backlashing against this comment will be those that are neck deep in college dept and are hoping to pay said dept off in 5 plus years after they finally start earning what they were promised
They really needed to explain that power pole transformers (all transformers actually) work in both directions and its all dependent the potential state of where it comes from and where it is used. If there is nothing on the primary, the secondary will feed it.
Oh yeah they forgot to tell you this thing weighs 33,000 pounds and if you get hit by it you have a high chance of death. Oh yeah they also forgot to tell you that if the battery catches fire you can't put it out you just have to let it burn baby burn. Oh yeah what if your kids are on that bus and it locks up and malfunctions? I hope they have some manual overrides if not they will be extra crispy bacon in a fire or Popsicles in the winter.

I saw this new tower on Google Maps, in the state of Virginia, going to West Virginia. Very interesting, and there is another version of this new tower with two different voltage classes. (apparently 500 kv and 150 kv).
Are there anyone actually survived by jumping out of the car and shuffle their feet to get away from the site? Or is it just a theory that no one has ever tested to make people less panic and try to get themselves killed for big corps to take advantage when it comes to a some kind of insurance claim? (Insurance: Well, your husband failed landing on both of his feet so he got electrocuted....)
But this happened in an ice storm so therefore you jump out of the car you slip instantly onto the ground your dead if you jump out of the car when it’s icy and slippery you’re better off staying in the car and hoping your car don’t start on fire I’m sure you will be OK
Could show a little bit of compassion to wife and son when leaving during a dangerous storm! The couple acted more like brother and sister! The son was more concerned digging into dinner than saying bye to dad. Make realistic and heart warming stories!
I really like this commercial. Only thing that bothered me was they did not kiss each other hello, or goodbye. I even looked on his hand to see if there was a wedding ring. Commercial would have been more believable if there was some kind of PDA.
Fuck Dominion energy stealing from old ladies.! Turning the power off in the middle of winter of people with new born babys . Your infrastructure and company will soon be dismantled you criminals that's why DOMINION ENERGY IS HAVING TO PAY BACK OVER 160,000,000 back to their customers because they are a crime syndicate.
This is the weirdest commercial I've seen in a while. Dad is creep-y! His tone with the kid is giving killer stepdad from a Lifetime movie, and why didn’t he kiss his wife on the way out?! On a dark and stormy night, where he's going out to do dangerous work, the best he could do as he passed his wife, who also just came in from the dark and stormy and a long shift at the hospital, was to ask her to not let the kid eat all the food from him. She kinda leaned in at first, hopeful for a kiss or embrace, and then she snapped out if it. He secretly hates them and they probably shouldn't eat that food. 😂
i know right! this is such a weird ad, I had to find the original and see if I was not the only one thinking this. The way, the guy behaved is super weird and creepy, specially the smiles. what kind of a parent lets their kid stay out during a storm ? and who the fuck says, "yeah, glad you're home" to their fucking wife ?! no, "i m so relieved to see you!" no, "i was worried..." ... nothing. he's trying so hard to look cool. lol. and why the fuck would he not eat his food before leaving ? he already made it .. he's setting up the table... just fucking eat ya douche! completely nonsensical hyper-macho-cool fantasy of what a real man is supposed to be like.
Having retired from the Electric company, although I was not a lineman, our people were called out for storms. Trees and poles down. Even office personnel, customer engineers and even meter readers, were put into service to help look for problems and help clean the roads of debris. Lineman would pretty much live in the field for like three days to get power restored. This commercial is probably not the norm, but it should be. Decent family values and the fact that men are willing to work in such dire conditions. These days the men are becoming soy boys and the women are brave and confident, yet wouldn't do this work. Of course there are exceptions, but the majority would not
"Keep at your school work, bud. Dad will be home soon. And hey sport, when I get back - and you know your old man always comes back - we're gonna toss around the ol pig skin. But it's raining? Hey champ, don't worry. We'll do it inside. Mom will understand. Ok, bud?" This whole commercial should be a full-length movie.
It's a nice commercial but I am so sick of seeing it before every single video that I look at! I get it already. Please stop showing it to me endlessly.
