At Dominion Energy, our employees are dedicated to one simple and vital mission: providing reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy that powers your every day.
"Keep at your school work, bud. Dad will be home soon. And hey sport, when I get back - and you know your old man always comes back - we're gonna toss around the ol pig skin. But it's raining? Hey champ, don't worry. We'll do it inside. Mom will understand. Ok, bud?" This whole commercial should be a full-length movie.
Having retired from the Electric company, although I was not a lineman, our people were called out for storms. Trees and poles down. Even office personnel, customer engineers and even meter readers, were put into service to help look for problems and help clean the roads of debris. Lineman would pretty much live in the field for like three days to get power restored. This commercial is probably not the norm, but it should be. Decent family values and the fact that men are willing to work in such dire conditions. These days the men are becoming soy boys and the women are brave and confident, yet wouldn't do this work. Of course there are exceptions, but the majority would not
I really like this commercial. Only thing that bothered me was they did not kiss each other hello, or goodbye. I even looked on his hand to see if there was a wedding ring. Commercial would have been more believable if there was some kind of PDA.
It's a nice commercial but I am so sick of seeing it before every single video that I look at! I get it already. Please stop showing it to me endlessly.
Could show a little bit of compassion to wife and son when leaving during a dangerous storm! The couple acted more like brother and sister! The son was more concerned digging into dinner than saying bye to dad. Make realistic and heart warming stories!
This is the weirdest commercial I've seen in a while. Dad is creep-y! His tone with the kid is giving killer stepdad from a Lifetime movie, and why didn’t he kiss his wife on the way out?! On a dark and stormy night, where he's going out to do dangerous work, the best he could do as he passed his wife, who also just came in from the dark and stormy and a long shift at the hospital, was to ask her to not let the kid eat all the food from him. She kinda leaned in at first, hopeful for a kiss or embrace, and then she snapped out if it. He secretly hates them and they probably shouldn't eat that food. 😂
i know right! this is such a weird ad, I had to find the original and see if I was not the only one thinking this. The way, the guy behaved is super weird and creepy, specially the smiles. what kind of a parent lets their kid stay out during a storm ? and who the fuck says, "yeah, glad you're home" to their fucking wife ?! no, "i m so relieved to see you!" no, "i was worried..." ... nothing. he's trying so hard to look cool. lol. and why the fuck would he not eat his food before leaving ? he already made it .. he's setting up the table... just fucking eat ya douche! completely nonsensical hyper-macho-cool fantasy of what a real man is supposed to be like.
